Shopping week and classes start tomorrow!! Not sure what to try? We’ve created a breakdown of what we offer and who might enjoy it! 🕺

Our first week of classes, we offer a shopping week! We offer UNLIMITED FREE TRIAL CLASSES during our first week of classes, September 8-14. 🤩

All students are invited to "shop around" and find what styles and teachers best suit them and their needs! We will then finalize registrations at the conclusion of shopping week. Try one class, or try them all! ⭐️

🌕TEAM LOCK-IN🌕

Our competition team put in the work last week at choreography camp! Dancers spent six days training and learning our four group routines for the season. We of course had to celebrate their efforts with a lock-in Saturday night! 🎉

You can see many of these dancers at the Appalachian Impact Youth Vendor Show this afternoon from 11-2 at Pretty Peonies Parlor raising money for their upcoming season! We hope to see you there! 💙

🪩MEET THE DIRECTOR🪩

The woman behind it all, Miss Em! In addition to being our studio director, Em runs our competition team and is teaching technique classes in all levels this year. Her favorite classes to teach are jazz and contemporary. 💙

Em is an accomplished dancer and choreographer of over 25 years. She started her dance journey at the age of 3 and hasn't stopped since! As a young dancer, Em’s family moved frequently so she attended many different studios and schools of dance. In high school, Em trained with the Macholah Ballet Company, was a member of the Hurricane High School Dance Team, and performed as a singer/dancer with the Red Hot Show Choir. Em attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies as well as studying dance. While at Wesleyan, Em started the now nationally ranked WVWC Competitive Dance Team and served as Captain and Head Choreographer. Em has been teaching and choreographing professionally since graduating college in 2020 and opened Studio 33 Dance Center in 2024. Under Em’s direction, the Studio 33 Competition Team placed in the top five at every competition in their first season.

🪩MEET THE TEACHER🪩

Next in our meet the teacher series, Miss Ashley! Ashley teaches petite jazz as well as all of our ballet and pre-pointe classes for students in the petite level and higher. She has a deep understanding of classical technique and we know our students will thrive under her guidance! 💙

Originally from Chelsea, Alabama, Ashley has trained in piano from the age of 6 and in ballet from the age of 4. Today, she is a classical musician and owner of In Harmony Music Studio in Buckhannon which offers piano, voice, and organ lessons. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Alabama, a Master of Music from Bowling Green State University, and she is currently a doctoral candidate at West Virginia University pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance. She recently joined the faculty of Frostburg State University as an adjunct professor of organ and class piano. She also serves as church pianist at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Ashley is excited to be starting Studio 33’s first pre-pointe class this year and to develop our pointe program!

Ashley is an incredible artist and we are so lucky to have her on our team! 🩰

🪩MEET THE TEACHER🪩

Introducing Miss Allison! Allison teaches classes at Studio 33 in the styles of ballet, jazz, and lyrical, as well as offering private lessons. She is a phenomenal dancer and is a great inspiration to our students! 🩰

Allison Kincaid is a former dancer of The Dance Factory and Augusta Youth Ballet Company in Buckhannon from the ages of 16-18. This was where she first met Miss Em as her first dance teacher! Allison has been with Studio 33 since it first started in 2024. During this time, she has learned to be a better teacher while also continuing her dance training in her current styles and more. Allison wants to prove you don't need to start early in dance to be a great dancer!
