A little later than planned, but we still wanted to take a moment to recognize and celebrate an incredible Spring 2026 season for the West Virginia Scholastic Esports League!
A special thank you to Glenville State University and Concord Esports for their collaboration in hosting the Spring 2026 WVSEL Finals. Their collegiate esports programs helped make this season’s championship event possible, providing an incredible experience for all participating students, coaches, and schools. WVSEL greatly appreciates their continued support of scholastic esports in West Virginia.
The season saw ten champions presented with trophies for their wins in statewide competitions
marked by a regular season and followed by a single-elimination playoff:

As the league continues to grow, the goal for next season is to surpass 500 student participants while encouraging every county in West Virginia to establish an esports program by this fall.
