We're joined today by several amazing local businesses! HappiHands & Co. made the sweetest honey bee sensory bin for us, Where You Bean is ON SITE serving their amazing coffee (and y'all, it's the most delicious coffee we've ever had), AND we have a surprise guest! 👀

Here's next week's schedule (Sept 7th - 13th). Here's a quick rundown:

Tomorrow, Monday Sept 7th - School's out for Labor Day, which means we're open all day from 9:00 - 6:00 with an EXTRA SPECIAL day of Open Play. 👷‍♀️

Here's what's happening tomorrow, Monday, Sept 7th:

1. We've partnered with Where You Bean - they will be ON SITE serving their delicious lattes, espressos, and more - all customizable with their delicious signature made-from-scratch sauces and syrups! They'll be here at 9:00 - whenever they run out! They accept cards, cash, and Venmo!☕😋

2. We're featuring another incredible local business on Labor Day - HappiHands & Co.! Since we're celebrating Labor Day and all the hard workers out there, we thought it would be a PERFECT time to bring out their handcrafted Honey Bee Sensory bin to honor all the busy bees out there, included in your Open Play pass purchase. 🐝

🌟Sidebar: Go like and follow the tagged businesses - they are local, mama run businesses and they are AMAZING and deserving of more followers.

3. Nope, we're not done. 😁Remember the game library we're starting? Thanks to our amazing community, we've collected several fun games for all ages. We want you to have the chance to preview these games on Labor Day! Our party room will transform into a game room! You'll find all our games set up, ready to play. Grab a friend and try out a few during your visit, included in your Open Play pass visit! 🎲

The rest of the week is full of Open Play opportunities! Open play is $14+tax ($2 OFF additional siblings) for up to 2 hours of play. Socks are required for everyone (you can bring your own from home!), but we do make exceptions for mobility aides, medical, and sensory needs - just tell us how we can help! Caregiver supervision is required during Open Play.🦋

🌟Community Spotlight🌟

We've featured Project Lifesaver before, but the recent tragic passing of sweet Saylor Hayes has sparked questions about Project Lifesaver and how it can save lives, so we thought we'd share all the details we can.

Project Lifesaver is a specialized search & rescue program run by local public safety agencies whose goal is to find individuals who have life-threatening behaviors, like wandering and eloping. The state of the art tracker system gives local police and sheriff's departments a way to track individuals in order to locate them quickly, but the heart of the program offers so much MORE.

Here, you see our Product Tester, Sammy. Sammy has been enrolled in Project Lifesaver for years. Also in the photo is Lt. Ronnie Leonard, the contact for the Bristol VA Sheriff's Dept Project Lifesaver Program, and a dear friend to our family. On the table in front of him, you can see the trackers, bands, and tracking device used to locate individuals when they elope and wander.

As you can see, the tracker is very small and incredibly lightweight. Sammy doesn't even notice it's there! The band is flexible, but is secured in such a way that cutting it is the only way to remove the tracker. Why? Because individuals with wandering or elopement behaviors can elope anytime, so constant use is absolutely necessary.

The tracker/bracelet are waterproof, and families have a device that they use to check the functionality of the tracker each day. Batteries in the device must be changed regularly, and that's where we get to the BEST part. Officers will meet with your family member regularly. The goal is to build trust and familiarity. The uniform, the badges, etc. - recognizing law enforcement can be vital during an emergency.

As a Project Lifesaver family, we take comfort in knowing the law enforcement is already acquainted with Sammy and his needs, and they are only minutes away if we need them. 🚓❤

Are you planning on joining us on Labor Day, Monday Sept 7th?! 🤩 Don't stop for coffee, because we're hosting the BEST local coffee cart from 9:00 am - whenever they run out! ☕ We're open Sept 7th from 9:00 - 6:00, but we guarantee they'll run out of coffee before the afternoon! Seriously y'all, it's SO GOOD. 😋

Where You Bean will be set up serving their famous coffee! Lattes, espressos, and more, all customizable with the most delicious made-from-scratch sauces and syrups. Where You Bean will be set up in our lobby, and they accept cards, cash, and Venmo for your convenience! ❤

Thank you all for participating in our Dolly coloring contest! Our two artists were Ms. Olivia and Mr. Landon, and we think they both did an AMAZING job. ❤

Landon will receive a free lunch of his choice....we're fairly certain he'll choose Zaxby's, but he might surprise us with something new (but probably not, he REALLY likes Zaxby's). 🐥

Ms. Olivia's comments - "I want a redo because I didn't know it was going to be a contest!" So, we guess we'll be hosting another coloring contest soon now that our staff is aware that any of their shenanigans can and WILL be turned into content. 😅

Now, PLEASE come visit us so our employees have something more to do than color. 😂 We kid (mostly), we know happy employees make for a happy environment, and we're so proud of the amazing people that make this gym magical! 💕
