The $5 5K for The Mustard Seed is TONIGHT, Thursday, August 27, at RunStrong HQ at 6 pm! We’re located at 1909 Spillway Road in Brandon, 39047 near the Reservoir, in between Ace Hardware and Dollar General and behind Rollin’ Beans. Check-in will begin at 5:15 and we will start the run/walk at 6 pm. No worries if you didn’t register ahead of time- we always have walk up registration at the event! It's not too late to invite friends!
This is an out and back course on a portion of the "Rez Loop" trail. From RunStrong HQ, we will immediately turn left and run across the parking lot toward Bay Park Drive. We’ll turn right onto Bay Park and then turn left onto the multi-purpose trail parallel to Spillway Road. The trail turns into a road for just under a mile (Scenic Drive) and then back onto multi-purpose trail at Campfire Circle, which is not far from the turnaround. The turnaround is across from the Reservoir Fire Department and will have a water stop. Reservoir Patrol will not be stopping traffic so please be careful at intersections. Assume drivers do not see you. When on Scenic Drive, make sure to walk or run against traffic.
As always with the $5 5K, everyone working this event donates their time and resources so that 100% of the money raised can go to the beneficiary. This month’s beneficiary is The Mustard Seed! The Mustard Seed is a Christian community for adults with developmental disabilities. The Mustard Seed exists to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of adults with developmental disabilities by providing a loving, protected Christian community where meaningful activities empower each participant to reach the unique potential God has created within them.

Our next $5 5K is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, at 6 pm at HQ. We’re partnering with The Gabby Strong Foundation to benefit The Cure Starts Now!
