🥊 Today marks 12 years of The Corner Boxing Club!

To celebrate 🎉 we're blessing y'all with some MAJOR throwbacks! 📸

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our community over the last 13 years. Some of you have been A1s since day one, which is WILD!

Whether you've been here from the beginning, joined somewhere along away, or just walked through our doors, you've helped make The Corner what it is today 💛

If it's been awhile since we've seen you, we miss you. Come swing by and throw some punches 👊

And to everyone who shows up day after day, year after year, and to all our "newbies" we couldn't ask for better humans in our corner.

🥊 Introducing UTF X Athlete: Wil Wilson

Fighting for: Rocky Mountain Immigrant Action Network (RMIAN)

Boxing out of: Topeira

Wil chose to support RMIAN, a Colorado nonprofit, because he believes every person deserves legal support, fair treatment, and a real chance to build safety for themselves and their families.

RMIAN provides free legal and social services to low-income immigrants and children, including individuals in detention, helping ensure access to rights, representation, and humane treatment. In Colorado, ICE arrests have risen sharply in recent years with more than 3,000 reported in 2025 through mid-October, over four times the same period the year before. Data also shows that many individuals in detention have NO criminal convictions.

Many are seeking asylum and safety after leaving their home countries in search of protection, stability, and opportunity.

Wil is fighting to support justice, dignity, safety, and opportunity for all.

🥊Introducing UTF X Athlete: Todd Baker

Fighting for: EmpowerPups by Hero’s Puppy For Life

Boxing out of: Topeira

Todd chose to support EmpowerPups because he wants to help veterans and first responders experience the life-changing companionship of a service puppy. Through his fundraising, he hopes to provide programs like seizure alert, diabetic alert, and service dog preparatory training for those in need.

Did you know that more than 20% of U.S. veterans experience PTSD, depression, or anxiety, and trained service dogs can significantly improve mental health and daily functioning? EmpowerPups honors and serves veterans and emergency responders by pairing them with puppies that bring hope, independence, and support.

Todd is fighting so that veterans and first responders have access to trained service dogs that empower their lives.

🥊 Introducing UTF X Athlete: Joseph Vandeven

Fighting for: Project Safeguard

Boxing out of: Empower Boxing

Joseph chose to support Project Safeguard because he cares deeply about helping survivors of domestic violence and their families find safety and support. Funds raised will directly support Project Safeguard’s work providing safety planning, legal advocacy, and resources for survivors.

A hard truth is that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 10 men in the U.S. experience some form of intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Project Safeguard works to support survivors as they navigate unsafe situations and take steps toward safety, healing, and rebuilding their lives.

Joseph is fighting so survivors have access to the care, resources, and support they need to move toward independence and healing.

Be sure to stop by the Project Safeguard table at UTF X! Say hello 👋, learn more about their work, or connect with available resources.

🥊 Introducing UTF X Athlete: Jenny Verhasselt

Fighting for: Old Dogs New Digs

Boxing out of: Boxing with Love

Jenny chose to support Old Dogs New Digs because all the dogs she's adopted have been adult/senior and she wants to make sure senior animals find the loving homes they deserve. Contributions to her fundraising will provide care and resources for older dogs and cats who are waiting for their forever families.

Did you know that nearly 25% of dogs in shelters are considered “senior” and often face longer stays or are overlooked for adoption? Old Dogs New Digs rescues and rehomes senior dogs and cats, giving them a second chance at life.

Jenny is fighting so that senior pets receive the love, care, and homes they deserve. Plus they are just the best! ❤️🐕

🥊 Introducing UTF X Athlete: Ethan Eckhard

Fighting for: Second Wind Fund

Boxing out of: The Corner Boxing Club

Ethan chose to support Second Wind Fund, a cause that is deeply personal to him after facing his own struggles with depression and understanding how isolating it can feel. He’s stepping into the ring to help make sure youth have access to support, connection, and care when they need it most.

For too many kids and teens, the hardest battles are the ones no one else can see. That reality is reflected in a difficult statistic: su***de is the leading cause of death for youth ages 10–24 in Colorado. That’s why organizations like Second Wind Fund matter so deeply. They promptly connect youth with local, specialized therapists, offer a choice in providers, cover the cost of therapy, and provide connection and hope when navigating life’s hardest moments.

Ethan is fighting to help youth find their second wind — a reminder that even in the hardest moments, support is out there and brighter days are still ahead.

🥊 Introducing UTF X Athlete: Edward Arcuri

Fighting for: Disabled American Veterans (DAV)

Boxing out of: Boxing with Love

Edward is stepping into the ring to support Disabled American Veterans because he knows firsthand how tough the transition from service to civilian life can be.

The DAV helps more than 1 million veterans each year access benefits, medical support, and the resources they’ve earned.

Edward is fighting to give back to the community that shaped him and help ensure disabled heroes receive the care, respect, and support they deserve — and a generous benefactor will match every donation up to $1,500.

Donations are matched and you can find the donation link in our story or bio!

🔥 LEGACY SPONSOR SHOUT OUT 🔥

We're proud to recognize Servpro team Olson as our Legacy Sponsor for Unite to Fight X and grateful for their continued support year after year.

"At Servpro team Olson we provide solutions to our clients in their biggest time of need. Our most valuable asset is our TEAM of quality people that truly care for our clients."

That is exactly how they show up! Helping families and businesses across the Denver/Boulder area recover and rebuild when it matters most.

Since 1980, their team has built a reputation for fast response, care and excellence, earning Top 10 ServPro franchise recognition and Franchise of the Year honors. 🏆

We were also lucky enough to get their crew in the gym this season, taking on a training session with Coach Carrie and going just as hard as our athletes. 💪

ServPro has been a cornerstone Legacy Sponsor for Unite to Fight for multiple years and we truly couldn't bring this event to life without them.

Thank you for standing with our athletes, our mission, and showing what it means to be "In our Corner."
