Camps is Central Oregon’s Only Free-Play based adventure camp for kids and teens ages 4–17. Since 2008, we've helped campers explore over 50 unique locations across Central Oregon's forests, mountains, and wild spaces. Our programs foster creativity, physical activity, and social connection through unstructured play, nature-based learning, and child-led exploration. Campers choose their own path,

supported by trained guides who prioritize enjoyment, camaraderie, and cultivating a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.

We love getting more kids outside. And we love being about to say YES to more families being able to send their kiddos to camp!

Mentally, we’re here. 😊

If the back-to-school craziness is starting to hit, we feel that.

But before the early alarms, packed lunches, and busy schedules fully take over, we’re still enjoying the last few marshmallows of summer.

Served alongside a little more time outside. A little less screen time. And a little more sitting around the fire with nowhere else to be.

Summer may be winding down, but we’ve been enjoying every last sticky, toasted, perfectly imperfect bit of it.

Glen K Van Peski will share his tips on how to lighten your pack — whether you’re headed into the backcountry or just tired of hauling everything and the kitchen sink. 

Signed copies of his book “Take Less. Do More” will be for sale, and ALL proceeds will go to the R.A.D. Camps Scholarship Fund – and yes, there will be some complimentary giveaways that you don’t want to miss!

The good news? We’re still outside.

It was a season full of new and old friends, countless trails explored, an unfathomable amount of dirty laundry…and countless stories of outdoor adventure.

Sprouts (for ages 4-7) now runs through September 4th - That means you can choose one day, a few days, or build the week that works for your family. No full-week commitment required. Reminder: it’s okay to take these last few weeks of summer slow.

The early mornings/busy afternoons with schedules and to-do lists will ramp back up. But we’re not there yet. So for now, let them spend their days outside.

There are no screens. No plans. No rushing off to the next thing.

New to R.A.D.? Deciding to book your first adventure just got a whole lot easier.

For a limited time, new-to-R.A.D. families can get 65% off their first day of camp. Programs run through September 4th 🤗

To redeem, email [email protected] with the subject line “First-Day Pass Request.” Include your name, email, mobile number, preferred program and date, and confirmation that this will be your family’s first day with R.A.D. Camps.
