“Throwin’ the Houlihan!!

I found this route intimidating to the point I didn’t even try it last summer despite climbing harder routes like Moonshine. I felt I wasn’t prepared and would probably hurt myself on the pockets.

Since getting a pulley injury I’ve been climbing open hand almost exclusively and have been feeling pretty strong. Didn’t go down without some serious try hard! Love how hard the iris makes you work for these routes, 5.12 or 5.14.

Established by Todd Skinner in 1991 and shown in the OG Masters of Stone I, this was one of the hardest routes in America when it was put up!”
