Calling all Adventure Race TEAMS!!!!

As we close the loop on USARA National Championships and look to the future of our next couple of races, we can help but get sooo excited for La Ruta Madre- happening in March of 2027.

This race hosted by Javier Barreda | Trail & Aventura is one that we have now been to twice. What we LOVE about it is the terrain, the people and the culture. We absolutely cannot wait to share this area with all of you.

Together with Javier, we are BendRacing are making an incredible course for you in all the ways.

Ok - this is a funny story. So read this before you watch. Award winning filmmaker Scott Almendinger McGrath and I (Jason) have a love language for each other that relies on sarcasm, insult, inside jokes, and occasional over the top flattery. (if you have not seen his AR film "With Spirit" google it NOW).

In his lead up to working USARA nationals - I was chiding him about how some wanna be AR media moguls from the past always used over the top Heavy Metal music (knowing full well that he scored his first project with Bend Racing over a decade ago with just such music). And so - this was his answer. So keep that context in mind - especially at the end.

But really - brilliant work Scott. Brilliant. The music is amazing, and I take back everything I ever said about heavy metal. I'll let you you choose the music for all our projects moving forward. But while we are talking Scott Almendinger McGrath - know of any talented video editors that could live up to such a wonderful soundtrack?!?

Love you buddy. Glad you did not fall down any mountains this time.

The race is officially over, but photos from the volcano hike up Mt. Bailey and the last paddle across Diamond Lake! Teams that made it up at sunrise were treated to a spectacular morning among the clouds! We are VERY Jealous.

Now 3 hours left! And so many more teams will be coming across the line. It sounds like the race is super super tight at the top. Quest, WEDALI, Strong Machine, Mountain Women, Wolpertingers all within 9 points.
