Fresh out of a week of blind racing w ridetransierranorte
When you’re blind racing, you need to make split second decisions on unfamiliar terrain.
Would this feature have safer/better/faster to “drop” rather than roll?
Possibly 🤔
In this situation i was able to peak over the edge and see I could push my bike down the trail. You can see my rear wheel come up 😱😱😱
What prevents me from going OTB?
3 main actions:
1) big bend in the elbows, knees and hips as I approach the feature
2) I brace my core which keeps my weight centered over the bb. You can see my hips never shoot forwards over the bottom bracket and my chin never extends past the bars.
3) I press my heels down to drive the rear of the bike down towards the ground.
Did I shift my weight too far back? Maybe a bit. We’re all a work in progress 😃 In this situation, I felt safe. What do you think? Safe or sketchy?
