Just an FYI. If someone shoots a deer and tracks it 30 min, an hour after the shot. I will not be able to come out and help. There are so many resources to teach proper wait times, there’s no excuse. We are trying to help as many people as we can per season. Tracking a deer less than 4 hours after the shot is something that should NEVER happen unless you see or hear that deer fall. The only thing being impatient does is drastically reduce the chance of recovery and drastically increase the wear and tear on tracking teams. We do our part but the hunter has to do their part to help us help you. I’ve had ppl get an attitude with me because they don’t want to hear the facts. I’ve been hunting since I was 11 years old, at this point I’ve tracked around 500 deer, and I would NEVER think about tracking a bow shot deer under 4 hours, even as a young kid I never once went after a deer 20 minutes after the shot unless I dropped it.
