Happy Birthday to Coach Zach!

Today we’re celebrating Zach, who joined us early this summer and jumped right in from day one! He immediately connected with our coaches, clients, and youth athletes and has quickly become such a great addition to the CP team. He brought a fresh perspective and the extra support our team needed, and we’re so grateful to have him!

We’re especially thankful for the fresh and fun energy he brings into the gym every day. From the behind-the-scenes work to client training and everything in between, all of the work he puts in doesn’t go unnoticed!

Join us in wishing Zach a very happy birthday! We hope you have a great day!

Today, we’re celebrating one of our longest-standing clients, Joan Westerfeld!

Joan started training with us 13 years ago and has been incredibly consistent ever since. Even with a busy travel schedule (and plenty of time keeping up with the horses!), she has always made her health and fitness a priority.

Today, Joan turns 80, but you wouldn’t know it by watching her train! She brings an incredible energy to every session, continues to challenge herself, and somehow keeps pushing a little harder every time. She has shown herself, her fellow group members, and everyone at CP that age truly is just a number, and there’s no age limit on taking care of yourself.

Please join us in wishing Joan a very happy 80th birthday! Here’s to another year of strong workouts, exciting adventures, and doing what you love most!

Interested in joining this Ladies 55+ group? We currently have a few openings! It’s an amazing group of women who love to work hard, support one another, and most importantly, have fun together (with a new joke to look forward to each week 😉).

Plus, it’s one of our most affordable ways to get started at CP! Drop a comment or send us a message to learn more about the Ladies 55+ group and get started!

Our next work-based learning student is Levi H.!
Levi is a junior at Batesville High School! He plays basketball, enjoys lifting, and loves spending time with his family. Levi hopes to continue playing sports in college and is also interested in pursuing a career as a sports nutritionist.

He’s excited to learn new training techniques, spend time in the gym, and develop healthy habits that will help him both on and off the court!

Everyone, help us give Levi a warm welcome to the gym! Welcome, Levi!

Our Fall Fast & Fit has officially started! We’re excited to welcome some new faces along with some familiar ones from the summer! Each week, we’ll be highlighting one athlete who stood out during their sessions and showed exceptional effort, focus, and commitment.

This week’s Camper of the Week: Lane H.!
Lane is a new athlete this fall, and he immediately got to work and started making a great impression! From day one, he set the tone for himself and his group through his hard work, focus, and determination.

In just his first week, Lane completed three workouts and has already shown how motivated he is to prepare himself for basketball season this winter. We’re excited to see where his hard work and dedication take him!

Awesome job already, Lane! Keep it up!

This fall, we have three BHS work-based learning students joining us at Cook Performance! We’re excited to have them in the gym, get to know them, and give them a hands-on look at what we do here at CP.

First up, introducing Carson M.!

Carson is a junior at Batesville High School, where he plays both tennis and baseball. He also enjoys working out and playing golf with friends (sounds like he’ll fit right in here at CP)!

Carson hopes to play baseball in college and study dietetics. He’s especially excited to get a behind-the-scenes look at Cook Performance and learn what makes us a successful gym.

Be sure to give Carson a warm welcome when you see him around!

A few weeks ago, our staff came together for our Staff Olympics! All summer long, our team participated in a fitness challenge, similar to the winter challenge we offer clients. We set personal and professional goals, created weekly bonuses, and had weekly discussions centered around our staff book, The Culture Code.

At Cook Performance, we believe in constantly bettering ourselves, both individually and as a team, so we can be our best when serving you. We know the dedication it takes to stay committed to a fitness challenge for weeks at a time, so we wanted to celebrate our staff and the milestones they reached!

Jeremy took home the gold in chin-ups with an impressive 24 reps, and jump rope. He tied for gold in vertical jump at 28”! He also achieved his personal goal of completing a 50-mile bike ride!

Dylan competed in several events and brought home the gold in the bench press with an impressive 46 reps. He also tied for first place in the vertical jump at 28 inches!

Chassi showed up and volunteered for any event that needed her! She especially crushed it in the chin-ups, cranking out 10 reps with the red band. Her PR is an impressive 4 reps with NO band! She also hit a PR in TBDL with a 1 rep max of 199!

Georgia competed in a few events and set new PRs in both the squat and TBDL, with 1-rep maxes of 167 and 188, respectively!

Zach showed out for his first Staff Olympics, claiming 3 wins! He took home the gold in the heavy bench, sled sprint, and 10-yard dash, beating Jeremy by just 5 hundredths of a second. His bench was 295!

Emma also showed out at her first Olympics, competing in nearly every event and taking home the win in three of them! She claimed gold in the TBDL, squat, and plank  (4:00). Her TBDL and squat were 247 and 194 respectively.

Sarah was able to join us for this year’s Olympics, participating in the jump rope. She was also our outstanding ref, scorekeeper, rep counter, and more, all while holding her youngest, Benjamin…well, not while jumping rope ;).

Swipe to see our real winner… and how we felt after the final event! 🏆

As summer comes to a close, we want to take a moment to show our appreciation for this year’s summer intern, Emma!

She did a great job helping with our Youth Fast & Fit program, but even more special was getting to witness her growth and development—from training with us as one of our athletes 10–12 years ago to now being the coach.

She’s an incredible athlete herself, but an even better young lady. There’s no doubt that many of our Fast & Fit campers took away more than just greater speed and strength from their summer with her.

Thankfully it’s not a good-bye as she’ll still be helping out on some Saturdays!

All the best back at college, Emma!

10-YARD DASH 🏆

Our Summer Fast & Fit has officially come to an end, and we want to give a HUGE congratulations to all of our athletes on an amazing summer! For the past 10 weeks, these athletes showed up dedicated and ready to work. Early mornings, sunny afternoons, and even the occasional Saturday, they never hesitated to push themselves or encourage the athletes around them. 💪

Each summer, we assess our athletes at the beginning and end of the program. While not all progress in the gym can be measured by numbers, tracking these assessments gives us a great way to see how our athletes are improving over time.

And just a reminder: improving your 10-yard dash by any amount is a HUGE accomplishment. Getting faster takes speed, power, explosiveness, and a whole lot of hard work, so even the smallest improvement is something to be proud of!

Below, you’ll find our Top 10 athletes who improved the most in the 10-Yard Dash. Help us celebrate these athletes who put in the work all summer long and got to see that hard work pay off! 🏆🔥
