What a wonderful Tuesday! We are back with another shout out for our community. Today this one comes from within our team! Thank you Jessica Perry for all you do in regards to grant writing for our Batesville Skatepark and Outdoor Adventure. Jessica was a HUGE help in getting money to bring this plan to life.

Outside of the initial phases Jessica has also continued volunteering her time to help us raise money for maintenance and beautification of the park which is no small undertaking. We really appreciate Jessica and all she has and will do for the community here in Batesville!

Another day, another massive thank you note going out to our community! Thank you again to Joshua Hughes over at Mowbility Turf Care LLC for volunteering their time AGAIN and keeping our pump track area in top shape! I mean, it is looking nice out there!

Joshua has shown how important community is in such a small town like Batesville and we are very grateful for people like him to be a part of it. We have a pretty great team here at Batesville Area Skatepark Advocacy but today we want to shout out 2 MAJOR people in our group circled in red for the picture. Cassandra Letloh and Steph Feller who were the backbones of our Bouldering Wall project at the park. From countless meetings, to helping with the design aspect of the wall, and all the planning for the bouldering wall grand opening both of them have been instrumental to this projects success. We have seen great activity out at the bouldering wall and a lot of excitement built behind that project and without them and their knowledge we would probably still be in the planning phase (joking).

Thank you for all you guys do and continue to do for the betterment of Batesville, outdoor activities, and for the future generations of families in Batesville!

We are going to be posting a couple huge "Thank Yous" to our community this week!

First, we would like to thank Adam Leising over at Leising Excavating for all of his hard work on the pump track this year, fixing the slope, landscaping around the park and fixing some of the drainage issues we were seeing out there.

Adam has been a huge supporter of our vision for the entire Batesville Skatepark and Outdoor Adventure since early conception and his continued support has been amazing.

A massive thank you to Joshua Hughes over at Mowbility Turf Care LLC for volunteering their time and hard work to clean up the landscaping around the pump track this week.

The overgrowth was starting to take over, but the Mowbility crew came out and completely transformed the area. Thanks to their efforts, the track is looking sharp, the sightlines are clear, and the whole space is much safer and more welcoming for everyone using it.

We are incredibly lucky to have local businesses and individuals who genuinely care about our community spaces and don't hesitate to pitch in.
