Challenge Design Innovations was born out of the idea that quality products and services are built upon quality relationships. Accredited by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) as a Professional Vendor Member, Challenge Design Innovations has undergone a strict peer review process. All design, installation, and services comply with current ACCT standards. Our team of over 25 employees boasts an impressive 200+ years of cumulative experience. All inspectors and trainers meet or exceed ACCT standards for qualified challenge course professionals and each builder has at least 30 hours of OSHA training.

What's underneath your challenge course?

Rubber mulch? Wood fiber? Sand? Pebbles?

That choice can affect your safety, maintenance costs, and how much work your staff has to do every season.

At Challenge Design Innovations, we've spent decades figuring out what works for different courses.

And we've learned a few things along the way.

✅ Rubber mulch lasts longer and needs less upkeep.

✅ Wood fiber costs less upfront but requires regular attention.

✅ Sand works well for certain low-to-the-ground obstacles.

Every course is different, and experienced builders know the ground deserves as much thought as the obstacles above it.
