The Lees-McRae men's cycling team began its 2026 fall season at Truett McConnell this weekend. Omar Wilson took home a pair of wins in Cross Country and Short Track Cross Country disciplines. We are thankful for Chowan University for hosting the Michael Shope Memorial Tournament this weekend. In 2006, Michael lost his life in a boating accident off the North Carolina coast. Michael is the embodiment of Lees-McRae College and showed the high character that our men's soccer program strives for every day. Head Men's Soccer Coach Taylor Morton joined Michael's parents and Chowan's head coach Chris Whalley last night.

Lees-McRae men's soccer defeated Chowan, 3-2, on Thursday evening and continues the fall season against Virginia State tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. in Murfreesboro, North Carolina.
