New Member shoutout- after competing at Midsommar Slam and feeling like he had more gas in the tank than he as showing in competition, Landen started driving up an hour and a half 4 days a week to cross-train with us. Since then he's taken 4th in messer at Chuck Fecht and 6th in B-tier longsword at , only one touch away from making finals! Never one to be satisfied with some objectively great results, expect to see him at Tournament of Defense - AFO Cup in a few weeks

After a much needed day of rest, we just wanted to give a shout out to the folks at Cymbrogi for putting on an incredible tournament over the weekend. Anyone who has ever fought at Gesellen Fechten knows it’s consistently one of the most competitive and well-run events in the country, but they really pulled out all of the stops for the 10th anniversary and we had to show our appreciation.

It was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, make new ones, and cross swords with the best of the best. Keeping any tournament running smoothly and on time is a herculean task on its own, but to do it with top-quality judging and reffing across hundreds of matches speaks to the sheer amount of time and effort that went into making this all happen in the first place.

Our crew returned home exhausted, bruised, and full of onion burgers, but the entire ride back was dominated by conversations about our favorite matches, amazing exchanges we saw, and just how much fun we had. For anyone who has never had a chance to experience Gesellen Fechten, you owe it to yourself to make the journey at least once. For everyone else, we’ll see you next year.
