What stops most trainees from getting gains from their training?
It’s not a matter of discipline or will
And it definitely is not a matter of not working hard enough or using weight training . If that was the case , then athletes / trainees wouldn’t keep getting stopped in their tracks .
So what is it ? Well, it’s not properly progressing , doing movements they aren’t ready for , and then POP, that didn’t sound right ...
We tweak something, something tears , we pull something , and the typical drill is employed : ice , rest , wait , chiros, massage , go to the doctor 🥼Etc etc .
Now, I don’t want this to be you or any of our clients , and that’s why, we are teaching our clients a system, that makes them say “man this is harder than weights “, “my nervous system is super challenged!”, “ My heart rate is at a 93 with just a yoga block and a mat “, “this training is no joke “....
So what is the system ?
Well , it is one that takes into account the following :
Most movements are dynamic and require some sort of tempo and cadence. In order to get into tempo and cadence we “assume” that the joints and kinetic chains ( groups of muscles working together ) know how to connect and move into the right positions . This isn’t always the case . The more dynamic you go, the more risk you put on the system. Not UNLESS your prepare the body to be able to .
You see, in order to do a dynamic pattern, trainees have to effectively know how to load a group of Muscles and joints , and then transfer load to another group of muscles and joints. This means we have to know where and how to create tension in our body . You can give the body a chance to learn this , by strategically using joint angles , constant time under tension with just your body weight, and upper/lower body integration. We do this, and now we feel exactly what a deadlift should feel like without needing a bar . We feel how a back squat feels like without needing a bar. We maximize what we need from Bulgarian lunges . We make a pushup feel like a bench . And moreover , we challenge the system far more than the above traditional lifts
