Travel/Showcase PSA:

Everybody wants to have fun until it aint fun no more! Yep! You want to play with your friends and have the cheerleader coach. But when the team is losing due to the lack of mental ability mixed with undeveloped physically ability then all the problems start arise!
Find a program thats going to challenge you and coaches who are going to push you to be great. Seek out coaches that are going to teach you the game and not just throw a group on the field just to say they have a team. Yes, there will be failure but the fun is knowing how to make adjustments, be resilient, and shine when the moment comes.

Winning is fun but so is watching your game grow during the process!!

Good-great hitters are able to make quick in game adjustments!!!

Josie's front side flew open in her first at bat and she hit a little flare pop fly to RF. But she made the adjustments and hit BOMB the next at bat.

PSA:

*Just because you play travel/showcase ball doesn't mean you can play ball.

*Development is a key to success and it isn't always happening on the travel/showcase circuit.

*There are really good high school coaches/programs

* Coaches stop trying to discredit each other and work together to help get these kids better

*Just because they was good player on your high school or showcase team doesn't it will translate to college. But I guess it looks good for your organization when get those offers😏🤷🏾‍♂️😆

Dont worry about where you hit in the line up!!! Start to worry when you're not in the line up, control your controllables and thats the work you put into make you an option.

Betty Jo has been struggling with pulling of the ball. So we adjusted her footwork from the traditional step back to a front foot pivot.

If you look at the front foot, it pivots and helps her move in a path to stay on the ball and the trail follows that path.

Players:

Is your high school coach just trying to win region/state championships or are they developing you?

Is your travel/showcase coach chasing rings, organizational clout, camp invites, etc. Or are they developing your game?

Is your private instructors just providing reps or are they developing you mentally and physical to handle game like situations?

Are you spending time to develop your own talent/skills or are you waiting for your coach?

Stop blaming everyone else for not doing what it takes to make you better and if the coaches in your life aren't supporting those efforts then you need too look at the man/woman in the mirror.
