Happy Giving Tuesday! We’re using this day to let you know that Green Racquets is getting back on the courts in 2024! After some time away, we're thrilled to announce that we're planning clinics for middle schoolers next spring.

Thanks to the many generous donations people have made to Green Racquets, we’ve been able to support three students with our Phillip Rieckert “Backhand Dropshot” Memorial Award.

In 2023 we gave the award to Malachi Gordon, now a freshman at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, majoring in Business Management. We also had two recipients in 2022: Aubrey David, a sophomore at UGA, who is majoring in Computer Engineering and supports the Bulldogs by playing in the marching band, and Lauren Alley, also a sophomore, who is on a biomedical engineering track at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.

Nearly a week ago, Green Racquets, Inc. enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate the 2nd annual award recipient of the Phillip Rieckert Memorial "Backhand Dropshot Award". We are thankful to our wonderful sponsors, Keith Perret @ State Farm, Ellefson Transportation Group, Julie Calhoun @ Georgia Farm Bureau, John Pope, Bill Karp, and of course, Calvert's restaurant. We are pleased to announce applications for the Phillip Rieckert "Backhand Dropshot" Memorial will open March 15th. We are thankful for organizations and restaurants who have graciously donated items to auction off starting next week to benefit the Memorial. Stay tuned for more details!
The award will be dedicated to graduating student-athlete seniors in the Central Savannah River Area who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skill through their sport or community.
