🐔🏈 92 Days Until Gamecock Football! 🏈🐔

Today’s countdown takes us back to October 31st 1992, when South Carolina earned one of the biggest wins in program history.

The Gamecocks hosted Tennessee at Williams-Brice Stadium and held off the Vols 24-23 to end the 89-year drought in the series.

The defining moment came in the final seconds. After Tennessee scored to pull within one, the Vols elected to go for a two-point conversion and the win.

❌ The Gamecock defense slammed the door shut.

The stop preserved the victory, sent Williams-Brice into a frenzy, and gave South Carolina a signature win over one of the SEC’s traditional powers.

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, a reminder that strength isn’t about staying silent, it’s about knowing when to speak up. Men have always been told to stay silent, but this is not the way things need to be.

Too many men struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges in silence. Checking in on your family members, friends, coworkers, and teammates can make a bigger difference than you realize.

If you’re having a tough time, know this: asking for help is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of courage.

This month, let’s encourage more conversations, more support, and less stigma.

It seems to me that some fanbases need to be taught a history lesson. Since 1999, when regional play was expanded to the super regionals, South Carolina has made it 14 times, which ties them for third with the most in college baseball history. Even Mark Kingston was one win away from Omaha. The Gamecocks will get back there, but fans need to remember who this program is and who we will be again. Also, please, for the love of God, stop comparing Ray Tanner to Donati when Donati hasn't made his first head coaching hire at USC.
