Hello, I am Joe Jochman and if you want to catch fish you have come to the right place. I specialize in guiding for walleye on the Petenwell Flowage, Castle Rock Flowage, and the Wisconsin River but, no matter what you are looking to catch I can help you find what you are looking for. I am a multi-species guide and will guide on most bodies of water in central Wisconsin. I have been fishing my whole life and know these Wisconsin lakes like the back of my hand. Castle Rock Lake and Lake Petenwell Flowage are tremendous fisheries with an abundance of fish and different species. Having fished in the FLW Walleye Tournament Trail, I can use my professional experience to put you on fish and help you catch the fish of a lifetime. Advantage Guide Service 01/31/26 Headed out on the Castle Rock with Randy and Fran always a good day with these guys. The bite was slower than it’s been but still a great day we just had to work for them. We just jumped around fished some cribs brush piles and logs. We boated fish in every spot we stopped we picked off the aggressive one’s and moved on. BfishN Draggin jigs tipped with fat heads and dead sticks with fatheads or crawlers. Have fun be safe!

Advantage Guide Service 10/30/26 Did a half day trip on the Castle Rock with John. Set up between a few brush piles first thing this morning. Last few trips seems if you get in between a few big brush piles the walleyes have been roaming around the piles and from first light tell 8AM you can pick off some good ones. After we got are walleyes we got on top of the trees and ran dead sticks with fat heads or crawlers for panfish. Have fun be safe!

Advantage Guide Service 10/25/26 went out this morning on the Castle Rock for a half day trip with Joe from the Plainfield area. Joe was looking to learn about finding structure that holds fish and the areas to look to find the structure points cups bends … The walleye bite was been really good from 630AM to 830 AM we didn’t get started tell around 830 so we missed that bite panfish and shorts were biting but were not super hungry today we would set up get a few miss a few and they would shut down make a small move to a different tree and more of the same. Did manage to have a decent day we boated some good crappies perch and a bunch of short walleyes. Still have 26th-28th 30th 1st - 8th open if anyone wants to get out one more time. Have fun be safe!

Advantage guide service 10/24/26 Another beautiful morning on the Castlerock. Fun morning 2 great guys in the boat. We set up in 14’ in a channel between a couple big trees targeting walleyes that were roaming around the brush piles chasing sheep heads and small perch last few days I’ve found several of each in the live well at the end of the trips. We got 3 keepers and a bunch of shorts then they shut down around 10AM so we went crappie fishing we got some nice slabs and a bonus gill and perch. Got most the walleyes on dead sticks with fat heads crappies came on drop shot rigs dead sticks and 1/8 oz BfishN Draggin jigs all tipped with minnows. Have fun be safe!

Advantage Guide Service 10/22/26 Another great morning on the Castlerock. Had a great couple Joe and Victoria they are in the process of moving to the area. Weather was great fish were biting couldn’t ask for anything more. We fished a few spots got fish on all. We were fishing wood so after an hour or so we’d pick out all the voters and move on. 12 to 15 foot on the wood was best. Dead sticks with fat heads and crawlers and 1/8 oz BfishN Draggin jigs tipped with Fat heads. I still have 26th-28th 30th-8th open if anyone wants to get out on the water one more time. Advantage Guide Service 10/21/26 Got out on the Castlerock for a half day with John on a panfish trip and they were hungry. Set up on some brush in 12 to 14 foot ran dead sticks with small pieces of crawlers also drop shots rigs with fat heads. Have fun be safe!

Advantage Guide Service 10/20/26. Headed out in the fog on the Petenwell for day 2 with Scott and Jeff. 1st spot was crazy couldn’t keep the dead sticks in the rod holder bite was constant no lulls from 7AM tell 10AM. We got keepers crappie whitebass perch a cat and a pile of shorts. Fished in 15 foot of water. We moved to spot 2put in the dead sticks tipped with fatheads and crawlers and it was the same non stop tell we left at 3 PM walleyes perch and whitebass on spot 2. Water temp was 57.5 degrees. Advantage Guide Service 10/19/26 Headed out on the Petenwell for a half day with couple guys I’ve been taking for a bunch of years. We set up on a point in 15 foot of water and got into a bunch of walleyes a lot of shorts and a few that went in the box. Fat heads were best today did still get walleyes on crawlers but we missed more on crawlers then minnows. Had a chance at 5 keepers only 3 got in the boat but all quality fish 18.5”-197/8”. Big fish all bit in the 1st hour we had a 19.5 in the box in 5 minutes of setting up. After 10 AM we put in the planer boards and they wanted nothing to do with crank baits. Don’t know if you don’t try. Have fun be safe!

Advantage Guide Service 10/9/26 Back out on the Castle Rock for a half day trip with Dave and Saul. We got are fish on a deep break in 22 to 23 foot we weren’t sitting on any structure the walleyes were roaming up and down the break. Most are fish came on dead sticks with XL fatheads and drop shot rigs with fat heads. Fish didn’t want a jig. The fish that were belly to the bottom didn’t seem to be interest but the ones 1 to 2 foot of bottom would slam them. Have fun be safe!

Advantage Guide Service 10/7/26. Did a group trip with Thomas Droste on the Petenwell pulled slow death and flies got a few walleyes and a couple whitebass. Thomas found a pod that was willing to bite on jigs so we both set up on them tell the winds picked up got some nice walleyes My boat jigged BfishN Draggin jigs tipped with fat heads and we got fish on dead sticks with fatheads. We jumped around a few spots up by the river for a few more walleyes and a couple crappie. Thanks to Jesse at Green Water Walleyes Guide Service for setting Thomas and myself up with this group.
