Murph 2026 might have been our favorite year yet. No pride, no ego, just this awesome community showing up, eager to choose an hour of discomfort to honor those who made the highest sacrifice.

Every year on Memorial Day, we remember the men and women in the military who died while serving our country. "Murph" is a hero workout written as a tribute to Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan:

"Murph"
1-Mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Air Squats
1-Mile Run
(If you have a 20 # vest or body armor, wear it.)

Hero workouts like Murph are an opportunity to push ourselves, both mentally and physically, as we remember the sacrifices made for us.

For those of you who are feeling heartache today, we stand with you, and do not take lightly the cost of our freedom πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

On Fridays, we have a tradition of honoring fallen heroes. We've had the privilege of remembering soldiers, firefighters, police.
Today, for Peace Officers Memorial Day, we honor Brady:

This workout is dedicated to Trooper Mack E. Brady, age 40, who died on November 9, 1966, in a vehicle crash in Henderson County while responding to a call
for assistance in a domestic dispute. When Trooper Brady swerved to avoid a car that pulled into his path, his car ran off the road struck a bridge abutment and exploded. Brady was trapped inside. Trooper Brady was assigned to Post 16 Henderson and had served
with the Kentucky State Police for 17 years. He was survived by his wife, a daughter and a son, who recently retired from his career as a Kentucky State Police trooper. Trooper Mack Brady is buried at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson County, Ky. In honor of his service and sacrifice, the KY 425 bypass in Henderson County has been designated the Trooper Mack E. Brady Memorial Highway.

The single leg squat, or "pistol squat". Whether you can do this unassisted or need a modification, these are a great movement to practice.

Training one limb at a time forces each side of your body to pull its own weight, revealing strength imbalances that are harder to see when both legs or arms work together. It also activates smaller stabilizing muscles that traditional lifts miss, building the kind of balance and control that actually shows up in real world situations. Training one limb at a time becomes increasingly important with age. As we get older, we naturally lose muscle mass and coordination, and strength imbalances between sides get worse, which is a leading contributor to falls and loss of independence. Single-leg and single-arm exercises train the balance, hip stability, and neuromuscular control needed for basic daily tasks like climbing stairs, stepping off a curb, or catching yourself before a fall. Keeping each side of the body strong and balanced independently is one of the most practical and effective things an aging person can do to maintain quality of life and stay functional long-term.
