One Year of Summit Rush

One year ago, we sat around a table and started brainstorming with Alaska Rush Soccer Club about how we could bring better soccer opportunities to the Mat-Su Valley.

We had big hopes, big ideas, and honestly… pretty modest expectations. We thought maybe 50 competitive players would take a chance on us in our first season.

Then you showed up.

More than 200 players joined us for our very first season. What started as a conversation around a table quickly became something much bigger than we could have imagined.

This first year has come with plenty of obstacles, challenges, late nights, lessons, and moments where we had to figure things out as we went. We’re still learning. We’re still growing. And we know there is always room to do better. But through it all, one thing has remained clear: this community believes in Summit Rush.

We are incredibly thankful for every family who trusted us with their players. For every coach who poured their time and energy into our teams. For every volunteer, manager, supporter, and community partner who helped make this first year possible.

Most of all, we are thankful for our players.
Thank you for showing up. Thank you for working hard. Thank you for your dedication, heart, and passion. Thank you for being willing to learn, make mistakes, try again, and grow. Thank you for reminding us every day why we started this in the first place.

Our first year may not have been perfect, nothing ever is, but it was ours. We are incredibly proud of what we built together.
200+ players. One community. One incredible first year.

And this is just the beginning.
