Can't say enough about all the outpouring of support for the Team and our kids. We are truly humbled by the generosity of all those who showed up, along with those who said they couldn't be there but here's some $$$ for the event.

To get people even more excited about our fundraiser tomorrow night... here's the list of guns and shooting sports related items for the drawings.

There will be $20 and $10 card draw options with a 1:52 odds of winning. Well, unless you buy more than 1 card of course. We plan on running the card raffles all night long as people keep entering.

The items are in stock and offered through CJ's Hunting Shack. Winners must pass a background check for any firearm and that process will be handled at CJ's. Please note - there will be no fi****ms on display at the event.

Tomorrow is the last day to pre-register for pizza!!!!! After the cutoff pizza will be available at concessions for $3 per slice, while available. A $4 savings per large pizza by ordering in advance.

Lane pre-registration is open until May 7th for $25 per person or then $30 at the door without registration.

You do not need to bowl to take part in the raffles. You are welcome to just show up and support the team. This year we will have guns/ammo/shooting supplies supplies through CJ's Hunt Shack as raffle prizes as well as various other options along with 50/50.

2026 Spring Fling

Great day, a little chilly but thankfully any rain held off. There were a total of 19 teams and about 400 shooters.

As a team we scored 400pts, so just barely out of the top numbers for an overall team award.

Rhyland Schapman was in the running for an individual award at 81pts, although just missed placing due to reverse run determination.

Shane Roosa had the highest single round for Almont at 24/25, along with highest combined on Field 1A at 47/50.

Nick Brezinski had the highest combined on Field 1B with 40/50. Field 1B seemed to be tougher for most, especially as the breeze was really kicking up.

We had 7 shooting a Varsity average for the day, 8 shooting JV, and 8 shooting Novice. All the athletes shot at or above their normal averages helping to propel the team.

Very proud how all the kids shot and performed!

In anticipation of our first competition at the Michigan Trap Association for Spring Fling we wanted to start announcing our sponsors.

This is now being put on by the Almont Trap Boosters (non-profit)/Lapeer Sportsmans Club and has been updated to include gun and gun theme raffles through CJ's Hunting Shack. Trap Team Sign Up Meeting.

Students in 6th - 12th grade and their parents interested in joining the Trap Team should attend the meeting on 2/12/26 at 6pm in the Almont HS cafeteria. Current team members are also welcome to attend as they will be going over 2026 updates and costs to participate.
