It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news that Parkland XC runner Aakash has passed away.
After fighting courageously for the past month, Aakash sadly succumbed to his injuries. His strength and determination throughout this difficult journey will not be forgotten.
Our hearts go out to Aakash’s family, friends, teammates, coaches, and the entire Parkland community as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Please continue to keep them all in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who prayed, donated, shared his story, and rallied around Aakash and his family over the past month. The outpouring of love and support from our running community has been truly remarkable.
Rest in peace, Aakash. You will forever be part of our running community. ❤️

SAVE THE DATE...AND HELP LOCAL FAMILIES!

This year's turkey trot is on Saturday, November 14 at 9 AM!

Entrance fee is a frozen turkey and or some non-perishable foods- which you can carry for the walk/run, which is just about a mile! All of the items collected are going to multiple local pantries and agencies that help families that are suffering food insecurity.

We understand that things are super tight right now and more families than ever are struggling to provide the basic needs including food.

*You love the idea, but aren't able to make this event? No problem! You can drop frozen turkeys and non-perishable food items at the shop starting right now- through this event!

Thank you for your help, it takes our whole community to make a difference.

❤️ Thoughts, Prayers, and ACTION! ❤️

We are asking our incredible running community to come together and help raise funds for Aakash's Critical Recovery.

In a split second, life changed for Aakash and his family while he was doing something he loves — running.

The road to recovery will be long, and no family should have to face the challenges and uncertainty that lie ahead. While we cannot take away what Aakash and his loved ones are going through, we CAN come together to help ease the financial burden.

The last thing this family should have to worry about right now is mounting medical expenses.

This is what our running community does best. We show up for one another, support each other through the toughest miles, and remind each other that no one has to face the journey alone.

Topo Athletic was with us last night over at McCall Collective TapHouse for our group run, followed up with some wise words from PT William Updegrove! If you are dealing with any set backs in your training, due to on-going pain...get over to St. Luke's Running Center for help! William and the many other PT'S are there for us :)

25th Anniversary Ironton Rail Trail 10k!

We are postponing the Topo run to September 15th... and will be at McCall's.
Tonights run is cancelled as it looks like 100% chance of thunderstorms :(
