The philosophy of BBI has always been simple and straightforward: Whether for bodybuilding, powerlifting, olympic lifting, a sport of choice, or simply to get in the best shape possible, BBI is the only gym . Heavy duty equipment, heavy weights, heavy, loud music, no carpet,

no plants, no tanning beds, no elevator music —you get the picture. You need to work out in a gym with state and national level bodybuilders. You need to work out in a gym with state, national, and world class powerlifters. You need to work out in a gym with the best training environment in the country. Mike Fox – BBI member since 1983 and graduate of North High School.

After an unexpected health problem that left him in the hospital for several weeks – that was his wake-up call to “get his body in order”. His junior year of high school he entered the North High’s football program. As a Senior, he became a varsity star and 1984 Beacon Journal’s All-City team recipient.

Mike played defensive line in the NFL for nine seasons (1990-98), five with the New York Giants and four with the Carolina Panthers. He won a Super Bowl with the Giants as a rookie as a 2nd round draft pick from West Virginia University.

He was inducted into the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame October of 2025.

Mike attributes the start of his career training at BBI.

For the first time in several years, they are bringing the community back together for an in-person gathering on AUGUST 8th AT 1:00 PM AT STANDARDIZED BREWING IN LEWIS CENTER, OH.
