A month of movement, challenges, people, places… and a lot of life in between.

Portugal. Czech Republic. Oberstdorf.
Skating camps, mountains, long walks, friends, family, coaches who have become family — and, of course, the animals who somehow always make everything feel a little lighter. 🤍

This month challenged me in more ways than I expected.

Some challenges I chose myself. Climbing mountains that turned out to be steeper than expected. Swimming out into a reservoir in Portugal when a younger version of me probably would have stayed safely on the shore.

Others I definitely didn’t choose. Plans changed unexpectedly, one of my camps suddenly couldn’t happen as planned, and I had to react quickly, find solutions and keep moving.

And maybe that’s what this month reminded me of most:

We don’t get to choose everything life throws at us.
But we do get to choose what we do next.

Stay positive.
Make a plan.
Take action.

Don’t sit back and wait for something good to happen.

Climb the mountain. Get in the water. Change the plan. Call the people. Find the solution. Keep going.

And surround yourself with people — and apparently quite a few cats 🐈 — who make you remember why it’s all worth it.

A very full month.
A slightly crazy one.
But definitely one I’ll remember. ♥️

July, summarized: I don’t think I sat still for more than two days in a row.

Work in Portugal, then the beach with Jon in between — because even the busiest month needs a few hours that belong to no one but us. A trip to London for some real family time. Then straight back into motion: interesting hotels, interesting people, a camp in Switzerland where the kindness of everyone I met genuinely caught me off guard. And right now, I’m still in the Czech Republic, running another camp with a group of skaters I already don’t want to say goodbye to.

If I’m honest, there was no real space to pause this month. It was exhausting in a way that doesn’t show up in photos. But it was also one of those months I know I’ll look back on and smile — because this is exactly what building a life you chose looks like.

Moving my life to Portugal didn’t happen because everything was figured out. It happened because I decided that “figured out” was never going to arrive on its own — I had to build it, one hard decision at a time. 🧳 Leaving the comfort of what I knew. Learning to run my company from a new home, with a new rhythm, a new perspective. Learning that being a CEO doesn’t mean having all the answers — it means being willing to sit with the uncertainty and keep showing up anyway. 💼

This photo was taken in one of those quiet in-between moments. No skating rink, no meetings, no to-do list. Just salt on my skin and the sun doing what it does best here — reminding me why I chose this life. ☀️🤍

I won’t pretend it’s been easy. Building something of your own — a company, a new home, a new rhythm of life — takes more grit than anyone sees from the outside. But I’ve learned this: dreams aren’t handed to you. You earn them, piece by piece, decision by decision. And when you do the work, they really can come true. ✨

So tell me 👇 what’s one decision you made that scared you, but changed everything?

🇨🇭 First SKATE Club camp in Switzerland… and what an experience. 🤍

Engelberg completely won us over.

From the incredible organization and the ice staff to the wonderful restaurant team—everyone made us feel so welcome while being genuinely professional every step of the way.

Seeing skaters from Germany and Switzerland come together, work hard, laugh even harder, and enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery made this camp one I’ll never forget. 🏔️⛸️

Thank you to everyone who made this week so special.

We’ll definitely be back. ❤️

Building an international business means the people around you are just as important as the work you do.

Attending my first networking event hosted by Friends in Business Algarve reminded me how valuable it is to be surrounded by people who are genuinely open to new ideas, different perspectives, and meaningful conversations.

One of the things I love most about living in the Algarve is being part of such an international community. Connecting with entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals from around the world brings fresh inspiration, unexpected opportunities, and a different way of thinking.

As someone building a business in figure skating—a sport that isn’t exactly around every corner—I’ve also had the feeling that people here are incredibly open and curious. Instead of questioning it, they genuinely want to learn more, which makes sharing my passion and vision even more rewarding.

I’m grateful to have found a space where curiosity, collaboration, and ambition come together so naturally. Looking forward to many more inspiring conversations. 🌅🤍

Being an entrepreneur means that most of the days you fight by yourself. You need discipline, courage, endurance and the ability to get up after each setback.
I guess for me it felt natural as it was exactly what I did all my life in high level sports. ⛸️
This sounds challenging? It is - but it’s so worth it! 🙏 Go out there and create something that will make our world a better place ♥️

A week full of skating, inspiring conversations, reunions, and so many passionate adult skaters at the adult competition in Oberstdorf ✨⛸️

Being there as an exhibitor was such a special experience — meeting athletes from all over the world, hearing your stories, sharing our passion for skating, and seeing how much the adult skating community continues to grow.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported us, tried our products, joined conversations, or simply shared a smile throughout the week. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do 💙

Already looking forward to the next one.

I’m back in Germany preparing to go the International Adult Competition in Oberstdorf as an exhibitor showcasing what the SKATE Club does for the adult community. Can’t wait to see many familiar faces again. See you in Obi. ❤️⛸️
