Supporting The Black & Blue Dress

This week's WCS Community Business Highlight we would like to acknowledge and thank Jane Sherrit at Ohakune Dental for the support of WCS Netball.

The 5th Quarter Netball Supporters Club -the team behind the teams

Whether you’ve got a knack for fundraising, enjoy organizing, have an eye for numbers, or simply want to help make sure our girls feel supported both on and off the court, we’d love to have you involved. The 5th Quarter is all about asking the important questions like:

“How can we make netball at WCS fun, fulfilling and memorable at every level?”

This is also a great opportunity to meet other parents within our netball community and become part of something bigger than just Saturday (& Monda) sport.

Join Chairman Charlie Duncan and Secretary Jane Sherrit… and well… we still don’t have a Treasurer 👀

So, if spreadsheets, receipts, budgets, invoices, color-coded tabs or the thrill of balancing numbers make your heart race, this could be your moment. We are looking for someone organized, reliable and willing to help keep the financial side of our program ticking along behind the scenes.

No matter how big or small your contribution may be, it all helps create a better experience for our girls.

A great weekend in Paraparaumu at the Majorie Jenden Netball Tournament 👏🏽

Massive congratulations to our Whanganui Collegiate students who proudly represented Whanganui Netball over the weekend.

Special congratulations to Alexis Ritani, Harlynn Fa’alili and Kate McMurray whose Whanganui U14s team won their grade 🏆💙

Well done also to Bella-Jean Fantham-Houia and Sophie Bagrie for their efforts and representation across the weekend with the u18s teams.

A huge shoutout as well to our very own teacher and Junior A Coach/Manager Jackie Abraham who umpired throughout the tournament.

Always awesome seeing our people doing cool things within our sport. Well done ladies

WCS Netball Development Academy 🖤💙

Starting next Wednesday, 6.15am in the Izard.

This academy is about giving our players more; more touches on the ball, more confidence, more game understanding, more fitness, and more opportunities to grow outside of normal trainings.

Open to all teams and all levels (except Senior A), this is for the girls who genuinely want to improve, challenge themselves, and start building habits that will benefit them both on and off the court.

We’ll cover skill development, speed, fitness, game IQ, movement, and all the little things behind the scenes that help athletes grow.

Most importantly, it’ll be fun, high energy, and a good way to start the day 👊
