🥏 CALLING THE WANAKA CREW — a disc needs rescuing! 🌲

A kind non-golfer spotted a disc out at Lismore Park and reached out so we could get it home. Here's the intel:

📅 Spotted: 3 June 2026
🥏 The disc: has "Detour" written on the back

🥏 Pro tip from the lost-and-found trenches:

Inked discs come home faster.

The single biggest predictor of whether a disc gets returned is whether the owner's name and contact info is on it.

We see it weekly on Disc-Connected: two identical discs found at the same course in the same week. One has "Tom 027###" sharpied on the back. The other is blank.

Guess which one gets reunited.

Best practice:
🖊 First name + phone number on the underside of the rim
🖊 Metallic Sharpie for dark discs — they last longer
🖊 Re-ink every few months — sweat and friction wear them down

Disc-Connected does the heavy lifting when ink is missing, but ink + Disc-Connected = practically guaranteed return 🤝
