Vibes were high at the JAB training this week as we gear up for the Canterbury junior community rugby festival!

We have 4 teams representing Rakaia rugby club. We are excited and grateful for Methven Rugby NZ who have joined forces with us for the festival. There are also a few other players coming along for the fun.

Community rugby especially being rural is about working together, creating opportunities for our players, and building lasting friendships both on and off the field.

Teams your looking out for in the draw:

Year 3 - Rakaia Dog Sharks
Year 4 - Rakaia River Ratbags
Year 5 - Rakaia River Raiders
Year 6 - Me Raka

It's set to be a beautiful day 🌞🤞 What better way to spend it than watching our young ones represnt the club with pride 💙

yesterdays match up 🫡 Hoodfield contracting women’s team played at home against Geraldine, resulting in a 47-17 loss.

Hoodfield contracting Senior team went up in a hard fought battle against Glenmark Cheviot in the quarter final, just falling short 20-17.

Hoodfield contracting Senior B’s team travelled to Mt Somers where they suffered a 35-10 loss.

What a good line-up if we do say so ourselves!!

The Hoodfield Contracting Senior Women's back at home on Friday night, Senior B’s trek up to Mt Somers and the Seniors go head to head in the quarter finals against Glenmark Cheviot!!!

Two in the bag !!!! The Rivermen Seniors and Senior B’s both came away with wins under night lights this week 🙌🏻

The Hoodfield Contracting Senior team went up against Southbridge on Thursday night fighting hard for the quarter final spot and came away with a win of 32-16.

We also got to celebrate a special milestone for Bryan Moore reaching his 50th game !!

The Hoodfield Contracting Senior B’s played against Celtic on Friday night with an epic game leading the win 32-15.

The Hoodfield Contracting Women’s team had a well deserved break.
