💫 Joe's Garage Team of the Week

With everything else that happened last week, we forgot to name our team of the week! 🤦‍♀️So... a few days late, but it's time to announce the winners of our next Team of the Week prize, thanks to the team at Joe's Garage Ashburton! This week's winners are... Rakaia Vetlife!🥳

Rakaia Vetlife is one of the teams from our Y7-8 competition on a Saturday. They're a young team who've not had a huge amount of results go their way this season. But, no matter the result out on court, they always hold their heads high and keep the smiles on their faces! That is what we love to see! So well done Rakaia Netball Club Vetlife 👏 There'll be a wee prize waiting for you at the netball desk next time you're in!

🚶‍♀️👀 STOP. LOOK. CHECK FOR AN UMPIRE.

Before walking behind a court, please take a moment to check whether an umpire is coming.

Umpires need a clear, safe path to move with play, and spectators stepping into their way can create a safety risk for everyone - umpire and spectators alike! Last Thursday night alone, one Premier 1 game had to be stopped FIVE times by an umpire as spectators were in the way.

No one wants to be the person who stops a game because they're in the way, cos all eyes will be on you! 👀

Please:
✅ Check for approaching umpires before crossing or walking down court ends
✅ If play is headed your way, wait until it's down the other end before proceeding
✅ Keep walkways clear during games
✅ Help us create a safe environment for players, officials and spectators

A few seconds of awareness makes a big difference. Thanks for helping keep our games flowing and our umpires safe! 💚💛
