Amanda’s Santa Cruz is transformed into pink with a soft Pearl coat to give it a subtle sparkle. Decals ordered and will share pics once it’s clearcoated. Why buy a new bike when all it needs is a custom respray?

Hi build primer on. There are no shortcuts to good preparation. It looks kind of cool like this! Primer is by nature soft and porous under the microscope. It’s like a handshake between the carbon and the base coat. Helps it grip plus fills any sanding marks from the first phase of paint removal.

Working on a frame respray. The old clearcoat gets manually removed with a sharp blade and lots of careful sanding. I’ll share some pics as we go! Any guesses what colour it’s going to be?

Heading back to Nelson after a busy week in Golden Bay. Back again in 2 weeks to get this boat in the water. For those who don’t know, I’ve trained as a professional boat builder and worked with sone of the greatest in the NZ and Australian industry. I enjoy a good challenge and everything on a yacht is exactly that! Curves, tapers, thinking laterally is a must. As well as a can do attitude!

After a refreshing trail run, I got heaps done on Manaroa.

Helping out a mate with his steel yacht before it goes back in the water in a few weeks.

Getting the cabin top faired and painted before we install solar panels.
