We couldn’t do this mahi without our volunteers who use their weekend to serve our community. This is not a@paid job for most of us, we do it for the love of our community and to seed community led change. This is our superpower. 🙏🏼🚴🙌🏽

Free Ride is running a feeder ride to this awesome event on June 20th. Register on our website at www.freeride.nz and there will be some e-bikes you can use (but get in quick), all bikes are welcome including BYO e bikes, we'll meet at 4.30 at Daly Street, liaise with the rave crew at Petone at 5.30 and ride with them to the Ngauranga cycle bridge, stopping to dance here and there and then returning to Daly Street. Children are welcome, as long as they can make the ride and are accompanied by adults. It's gonna be so much fun, so join us for the Winter Solstice Bike Rave.

Free Ride is a free membership service that reduces the barriers to cycling for transport, fitness and recreation. We build our programmes and services from members insights. Join and be part of a community of people supporting each other. Free Ride is so much more than a free bike. It’s literal freedom, to feel the wind in your hair, to get to work or school, to avoid traffic, to feel well and connected in the community. This is what we do, build trust and relationships, turn up every week and get more bikes back on the path. It’s joyful. Join us www.freeride.nz

We had a brilliant ride with our group ride participants today on Te Ara Tupua. Here’s a couple of great shots of us on the bridge being photobombed by happy riders. We’ll be putting up more rides soon so make sure you join as a member at www.freeride.nz and book in for one of our free programmes. Thanks to all the great people who dropped bikes to Bridgestone, we’ll get them fixed up after the long weekend. Have a good one e te whānau and be safe. Mauri ora.
