🤸‍♀️ GFA APPARATUS COMPETITION 2026 💙

What a weekend! On 8–9 August, we welcomed gymnasts from Counties Manukau, North Harbour and Howick Gymnastics to Waitākere for our GFA Recreational Apparatus Competition.

Across Levels 1–7, our gymnasts took to vault, bars, beam and floor, showing confidence, perseverance, team spirit, a drive for excellence and, most importantly, a love of gymnastics. 💙

There were plenty of great routines, proud moments, spot prizes, ribbons and medals along the way. 🏅✨

A huge thank you to the volunteers from all four clubs who gave their time to help make the weekend possible. Events like this rely on our gymnastics community getting involved, and every person who lends a hand makes a difference.

For our Waitākere families, volunteering at our events is also a great way to support the club directly — proceeds from our competitions go back into the club, with our current fundraising helping us invest in new equipment for our gymnasts. 🤸‍♀️

Thank you to every gymnast, coach, judge, volunteer and family who joined us. We loved having you and can’t wait to see what next year brings! 💙

Yesterday, Sienna, Andy and the Team headed off to Glasgow to represent New Zealand at Commonwealth Games!

It was amazing to see the kids building confidence, learning new gymnastics skills, making new friends, staying active, and filling their holidays with smiles and laughter.
