Nicholas has been part of the Blockhouse Bay tennis community since his junior days, spending close to two decades around the club as both a player and now a coach. Since joining coaching team in 2025, he’s continued to pour into the club and its players with the same passion and care he’s always brought to the court.

Over the past few years, Nicholas has stepped into coaching and is now taking things to the next level alongside Lavie by completing his Development Level 1 coaching qualification through Tennis Australia.

He now brings even more knowledge and confidence into his sessions, working with everyone from young kids starting out in tennis to experienced adult players — all while creating the encouraging environment he’s known for.

Awesome work, Nicholas — such a well-deserved achievement!

A huge thank you to all our participants, supporters, members, staff, commitee and Andrew, our tournament controller, for the time and effort poured into the opening weekend of the 2026 Club Champs.

There was some great tennis on display throughout the early rounds, setting the tone for what’s shaping up to be a fantastic tournament.

We’re looking forward to an exciting weekend ahead, including the main draw mixed doubles semifinals, which will take centre stage on the evening of Friday 15th May.

Come down to Blockhouse Bay Tennis Club to watch the club champs matches. The draws are stacked plus there’s plenty of yummy food to enjoy, thanks to our awesome kitchen team Mel and Smil.

The bar will be open all event long & the kitchen will be serving food:
Friday from 4pm
Saturday & Sunday from 12pm

On the menu:
