Event Four is done. 35 competitors, 40 matches, two mats, wrapped by lunch.

A good number of tonight's fighters were on the mats with us for the first time — new faces, first competition nerves, first time hearing their name called for a bout. What stood out wasn't the outcome of those fights. It was the control. Beginners who could have panicked or swung wild instead stayed composed, followed the rules, and shook hands properly at the end. That's not a small thing to get right on your first day.

For our regulars, the gap between this event and the last one was obvious. The same fighters we've watched over multiple Combat Games Series events are visibly sharper — better technique, better composure, better decision-making mid-fight. That's the whole point of running this circuit regularly instead of once a year.

Live electronic scoring ran again today and held up well — real-time, transparent, no argument about who won a round.

Thank you to every club that travelled to be here today, and to every official who kept two mats running on time from weigh-in through to the final bout. That's what let us finish 40 matches before lunch.
