We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Pro Dive Academy Cabo, our new professional-level diving academy designed for divers who dream of taking the next step and working in the dive industry.

Created by the team behind Cabo Private Guide, Pro Dive Academy Cabo offers a pathway for aspiring dive professionals to earn their PADI Divemaster and PADI Instructor certifications while training in the incredible waters of Cabo.

We are proud to share that Pro Dive Academy Cabo has officially been awarded PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center (IDC) status by PADI, one of the world’s leading diver training organizations.

And to lead our professional training programs, we’re delighted to welcome our newest team member, Martin Mendez.

Originally from Argentina, Martin spent two years assisting PADI Instructor Development Courses in Roatán before relocating to Cabo. Over the past year, he has immersed himself in our local diving environment, gaining extensive knowledge of the region’s reefs and marine life. As a PADI Course Director—the highest instructor rating in the PADI system—Martin brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team.

When he’s not running Instructor Development Courses, Martin will also be teaching recreational dive courses, giving divers of all levels the opportunity to learn from one of the industry’s most experienced professionals.
We couldn’t be more excited about this new chapter and the opportunities it will create for future dive professionals in Cabo!

Laura and Morgane are also going to be joining in the instructor development classes so added support!

What can you see while scuba diving in La Paz and La Reina? The real question is… what won’t you see?

The adventure begins even before you hit the water. As soon as you leave La Paz, there’s a good chance you’ll be greeted by playful dolphins riding alongside the boat.

Once you descend, the underwater world opens up. Keep a sharp eye and you might spot a well-hidden octopus, blending perfectly into its surroundings. Turtles drift in and out of view, sometimes resting peacefully on the reef, sometimes rising gracefully to the surface for a breath.

If you slow down and look closely, you’ll discover the tiny wonders too. Turn on your “microscopic vision,” and you might find what looks like a real-life Pokémon: the colorful, otherworldly nudibranchs.

Prefer a challenge? Try spotting scorpionfish. Masters of camouflage, they look exactly like rocks, but don’t be fooled, they’re very much alive.

And just when you think you’ve seen it all, the true stars of the show arrive. Curious and full of personality, sea lions almost always come to say hello. Divers have shared incredible stories, from sea lions offering starfish as “gifts” to cheeky ones playfully tugging on snorkels.

All of this can happen in just one day.
