Villa FC - Ballyduff AFC

Not one of our best performances, but we came away from Villa with all three points after a 3–1 win.

We were slow to settle early on, though Enzo nearly opened the scoring after 10 minutes with a fine effort. With Cillian, Nathan, and Enzo all in great form, we finally went ahead on 25 minutes when Cillian set up in-form striker Matt Fitzgerald.

Matt doubled the lead shortly after, finishing brilliantly from a great pass by Eoin Cummins to make it 2–0.

We didn’t start the second half well, and the home side pulled one back after 10 minutes.

That goal gave Villa a lift, and our back four of Ben Power, Josh Lennihan, Sam Walsh, and the impressive Kevin Cheasty had to stay alert, along with keeper Michael Hearne and Ben O’Connell.

The introduction of Kieran Power, Josh McCormack, John Murphy, and Tommy Rainer helped settle us down.

When Enzo set up Matt once again to complete yet another hat-trick, it was game over.

The season came to a close in sunny Tramore yesterday morning.

We had 3 competitive games. The girls were outstanding throughout.

Thanks to Tramore for hosting and parents for the support throughout the season.

🏆⚽Ballyduff AFC End of Season Awards & Mini World Cup – 2026⚽🏆

An amazing day at our End of Season Awards & Mini World Cup on Saturday – full of football, craic, and fabulous weather!

Great to see so many members attend to celebrate the season.
A huge thanks to our volunteers, coaches, players who helped make it a memorable day. Days like this don’t happen without the amazing efforts of so many!

• Ross for keeping the tunes going all day
• All our coaches who helped run the Mini World Cup and support every player this season

U11 Cup
Quarterfinal
Hibs 1 - 4 Ballyduff AFC

The lads qualified for the semi finals of the cup with a well earned win away to hibs this morning. The first half was an even affair until Finn played in Cian who made no mistake with a great strike. Cian got his second soon after with another fine strike to put us 2 up at half time.

Finn got himself on the scoresheet soon after the break when he finished off a fine team move. Cian then got his third of the game to seal the win. Hibs pulled a goal back late on but we had the game won at this stage and look forward to a semi final next week.
