Last Sunday, 7 of our mighty Vikings sailed into Clashmore to defend our Munster Interclub title for the second year running! The Rebels fought hard and claimed the crown this time around, but our lads didn't go down without a battle - proudly bringing home the runner-up spot! 🥈

Congratulations to the Rebels - well fought! But rest assured, we will be coming back stronger with a full stronghold of Vikings to reclaim our throne at the next Interclub!

Onwards and upwards, Vikings!

Waterford Pétanque Club is honoured to share that two of our members, Tom and Debra, represented the club as part of the 26 IPA delegations invited to Áras an Uachtaráin, the official residence of the President of Ireland, on Tuesday, 25 August 2026. While President Catherine Connolly was unable to greet the group in person due to official duties offsite, the delegation was warmly welcomed with a guided tour of the formal state rooms, where Sergeant Paul Mulligan of the President's military staff shared the history and symbolism behind each room. Despite the President herself not being there to greet us, it was still such a monumental event to be attending.

This was a wonderful opportunity for Irish pétanque to be recognised on such a significant occasion, and we are truly grateful to have been part of this historic event. Sincere thanks to Tom Donellan for organising the visit on behalf of everyone in Irish Pétanque Association.

Another great day for Waterford Petanque Club and particularly for our club President Bea Crotty-Berclaz who took Gold at the inaugural Tipperary Town & Country Pétanque/Boules Club. Precision shooting competition.
Congratulations to Beatrice who has dominated the weekend, winning also yesterday's IPA women's Doubles with Debra Wildansyah.
Well done Tipperary pétanque club for hosting the event.

Wow what a day! What’s a friendly without a bit of a friendly competition right?! Congratulations to Derek and Seamus from Griffeen Valley PC for taking home the 1st place trophy 👏 Don’t worry, our vikings secured the last two spots on the podium - Congratulations Debra and Pat for getting 2nd and Mick and Karen for getting 3rd 🥳
