Armoy Road Races 2026 AMRRC

Qualifying: P15 lap time: 2.02 (Dry)
Qualifying went well, track knowledge was good and had a steady qualifying learning how to handle the bumps and jumps. Plenty areas to push harder in the race.

Race: P8 lap time 2.09 (Wet)
The rain came in for the race on saturday morning. I managed to make up 7 places on a 6 lap race.
My visor fogged up inside my pinlock from lap 2...by lap 5 I was racing purely off track memory, I genuinely couldnt even see the edges of the road so couldnt risk going full race pace with such little vision. Overall very happy with the result and a new pinlock has been purchased 😂

Another succesful weekend put down. Next outing will be one round of Mondello followed by the final road race of the season at South West Road Racing Athea

Unfortunatly lightening has struck twice as we lost John "Plumb" O'Donovan at Skerries this weekend.
As we unloaded the van in skerries I got the bad news that James Walsh had passed away. I was was chatting to John about whether we should race or not as the only 2 Cork lads there. John calmly as ever said that James wouldnt have wanted us to stop as he loved the racing so much, and we all know the risks....so we decided to carry on... I just couldnt have imagined how it ended.
John you were a ledgend and an extremely talented rider. John was coming from the back of the grid and had been joking that morning that he would be coming for me..and no doubt he would have been if he got a few more laps but unfortunatly he never got there.
I couldnt praise Loughshinny motorcycle club enough for there profesionalism in what was a tough day for all involved
Sincere Condolences to all of Johns family, his friends and all at the WestCork Mcc on whats been a terrible week.
Race in Peace John

James was a ledgend on and off the track. He had time for everyone and always up for a laugh. He will be sorely missed and the paddock will never be the same again.
It can be the best and worst sport in the world.
Sincere Condolences to Claire, Geraldine and all his family and friends.
May he race in peace

It is with profound sadness that we learned of the passing of our friend, James Walsh.

Over the past number of years, James dedicated so much of his time, passion, and energy to his racing. Many admired his skill and determination on the track, but it was away from the racing that James truly left his mark. His warm smile, kind nature, and infectious sense of humour made him someone everyone looked forward to seeing in the paddock. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer advice, or simply have a chat, whether you were a lifelong friend or a rival competitor.

James was a much-loved member of our club and a friend to so many. His presence brought people together, and his loss will be deeply felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered not only for his achievements in racing but for the kindness, generosity, and genuine friendship he showed to everyone around him.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with James’ mother Geraldine, his partner Claire, family, friends, and all who loved him during this incredibly difficult time.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

🏁CC Unlimited Kells Road Race🏁

First time out at Kells was great to get 5 newcomer’s laps under my belt to learn the track and feel out the jumps for the first time.
Newcomers Best Lap Time: 1:40.287

Junior Support Qualifying:
P3 Best Lap Time 1.27.382
Still getting used to the track and the feeling of jumping the bike. Delighted to have qualified in P3 putting me on the front row of the grid for the race.

Junior Support Race:
P3 Best Lap Time 1:25.848
Earned my PB time of the day in this race and was really pushing hard. Fantastic battle with Dallas Reynolds which no doubt pushed me on. Really enjoyable racing and first road race podium

Super Twin Qualifying:
P8 Best Lap Time 1:26.482
Happy to improve on my JSup qualifying time here and build confidence for the racing.

Super Twin Race:
P10 Best Lap Time 1:26.766
Very happy with a P10 finish in my first Super Twin Race. Huge learning curve to head out with these lads.

Fantastic to have road racing back in the South and to come away with a trophy was the cherry on the cake🥉Thanks to everyone who helped over the weekend.

Finally thanks to my sponsors, it wouldnt be possible without ye

WestCork Mcc Drag Race 2026

3rd place overall in the supertwins class

The Aprillia can be a bit tricky off the line but thankfully got plenty practice launches in ahead of the Kells Road Races next weekend.

Plenty family and local support showed up for the drag which was great to see and was a good day out overall.

Time to prep the bike for Kells in just a few days time 🏁

Thanks as always to my sponsors
