β˜€οΈ 21st June - Summer Solstice Gathering at Killeena House, Baltimore. Yoga, light snacks, tea and chats to celebrate the summer solstice. Limited spaces remaining.

🌻 New 6 week term of Yoga and Pilates begins 22nd July. Limited spaces available for Caheragh (6 weeks only), spaces available for Skibbereen (drop in or class pass) and limited spaces available for 6.30pm in Bantry (6 weeks only). Classes run until 30th July, we will break for August and return on 31st August.

✨ West Cork Vitality Festival is fully booked.

Summer Solstice Gathering of Yoga, light snacks and tea πŸ™πŸΌ Weather permitting we will practice outdoors in the beautiful garden, otherwise we will take cover in the barn. Expect movement, breathwork, mantra, meditation & garden walk.

✨ I am reminded again of the sacredness of savasana,... or any other part of a class really ✨

Savasana especially is an integral part of our practice, it is a time for integration, a time to process, it's often filled with emotions and a deep shift in energy.

Our role as teachers is to hold space at that time... not work on growing social media following.

I've witnessed this myself, a class I attended I felt shift in energy in savasana, something not quite right, later I saw my picture on social media, a picture taken and shared without my permission in a vulnerable pose where I was integrating.

I don't take or share pictures of classes unless its from teacher training or the class was specifically for that intention.

Teachers we can do better, we can learn from eachother, respect the people we are teaching and do what we are there to do, hold sacred space.

Amazing what you can learn, gather and practice over the years. I am not a very materialistic person but I believe in investing in wellness and your health, physical, energetic and mental.

Come make some nut milk with me!

Choose what nuts you want and soak a handful overnight in water. If you are using almond nuts remember to peel them after soaking, the skin slides off easily.

I love cashew nuts, almonds or even pumpkin seeds πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Put in a blender, add whatever you want. I like turmeric for it's anti inflammatory properties & black pepper activates turmeric, ginger is lovely and cardamom is delicious πŸ˜‹

Add 1/4 cup of water and blitz for 30 seconds.

Add however much water you want, I use this jug it's about 1.5L.

Blitz for another 30 seconds.

Strain if you wish.

And enjoy!!!

I am a Senior Yoga Teacher, Pilates Teacher, Ayurvedic Yogic Lifestyle Coach and Reiki Practitioner. I host weekly classes, workshops, day retreats, weekend retreats and I am the founder of 🀩

Most importantly I am a dedicated student, forever doing courses, reading, taking classes πŸ“š

I love to travel & often combine my passions by visiting and learning from my teacher in India 🌎 I love food, all food, which makes travel really easy & fun! I am obsessed with learning and sharing what I learn in order to help people physically, energetically, mentally and spiritually. I was born and raised in Kerry (Ireland), traveled a lot in my 20's, lived in Australia and New Zealand and now live in beautiful West Cork with my lovely cat Sammy 🐈

I started practicing yoga in 2013 and immediately fell in love with the practice. Over the last 13 years yoga has taught me so many life skills, introduced me to many amazing people and been a safe place for me to return to. I did my first yoga teacher training in 2017 and haven't stopped training since. I have a light hearted approach while honouring the ancient traditions and wisdoms of yoga. I did my first pilates teacher training in 2021 & love how the 2 work together πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

I have witnessed first hand the power and magic of Yoga and Pilates and how these practices can help people in so many different ways, be that helping or preventing injuries, calming the overactive "monkey mind" or simply giving people time and space to connect to themselves ✨

Beside Yoga and Pilates I also love working out, I've started running lately, love good food with good people, being outdoors especially in our beautiful country when the sun is shining and of course cats!

I love day retreats! They are definitely one of my favourite things to do! Akhanda Yoga Day Retreats are a beautiful day of different styles of yoga practice, from awakening to restful, a day to be nourished with some delicious food, an opportunity to connect to yourself and others. We will practice movement, mantra, breathwork and meditation. Have time to walk the beautiful grounds, relax in the sauna and cold dip if you fancy it!
