At the Munster athletics Day 2 U14-U19 championships held at MTU we had 3 athletes competing U16 Laura Mae Coakley in Shot putt 6th and in the Javelin 2nd with a personal best , so delighted, her Sister U18 Lorraine Coakley 2nd in Shot putt and 2nd in Discus so both girls have qualified for the nationals Lorraine in Shot putt, Discus and Javelin ,
Laura Mae in Discus which is her best event also qualifies in Javelin ,
U17 Conor O'Brien ran in a very tactical 800m finishing 2nd in just over 2mins he also qualified in 400m so best of luck to athletics who will represent the club in the National track and field championship

Great jumping by Ed McCarthy and Charlie Leung in Munsters boys U13 in Templemore today
Ed with a PB of 4.20m made the top 8 final and Charlie L jumped 3.75m in wet conditions

Day 3 of the Cork AAI county track and field Juvenile championships held at MTU Track we had LPaddy Collins U10 Lily Burgin U11 Clodagh Goggin U10 Eoghan Murphy U11 Ruby O'Reilly Bermueller U10 Adam Sweetnam U10 Aoife Sweetnam U11 and Laura Mae Coakley U16 2nd in shot putt ,
Ruby 3rd in 500m excellent
Adam 3rd in long-jump very good jumping , Paddy good running
Lily won her heat in U10 60m Clodagh did well in turbo javelin , Eoghan had very good series of jumps in long jump , Aoife good running and Laura personal best in Shot so well done athletes
