🟣🟢 More Leinster Success 🟢🟣

There were more excellent performances by our juveniles on the concluding weekend of the Leinster Championships. On Saturday, we had 7 athletes in action.
First up was David in the U14 sprint. In what was his first ever competitive outing he ran strongly to place 4th in his heat. Well done David on your first race for Navan AC🟣🟢👏.
Katie was in action in the U14 Discus, finishing 6th while at the same time, Doireann, Hayleigh and Samantha took to the track in the heats of the U15 sprint. Samantha was just 2 places off making the final with Hayleigh & Doireann only a few spots further back. Great effort girls💪.
Doireann was straight back into action in the Discus. A pb🔥 in the final round saw her claim 6th place👏.
Later in the day, Katie, Sarah & Lucia went in the timed heats of the 300m. Katie ran a pb🔥to claim silver🥈in the U14 age group while Sarah also ran a pb🔥to finish just off the podium. Lucia in her first 300m this season finished 5th in the U15 race👍.

Kevin was first into action on Sunday in the U12 LJ coming very close to his season's best👌.
Lucia finished an excellent 4th in the 250m hurdles having only taken up the event a matter of weeks ago💪.
Sarah threw strongly in the U14 Shot but was unlucky to miss out on the top 8 by 1cm.
Both Sarah & Lucia made their respective finals of the 200m. Lucia claimed 8th place in the U15 final while Sarah finished just off the podium in 4th place having run a pb🔥 in the heats.
Ishan was kept busy in the U18 Shot & Javelin with both events running simultaneously. Going from the javelin runway to the throwing circle didn't deter him in the least as he threw brilliantly to claim double gold🥇🥇👏.
Katie was next on track in the 800m final having run in the heats 5 hours earlier. She ran another pb🔥 to claim a super bronze🥉.
Seán O, Seán B & Odhran were all in sprint hurdle action.
Seán O(U16) held his nerve to add to Navan's medal tally claiming bronze🥉 in an incident filled 100m hurdle race💪.
Both Seán B & Odran made their respective 60m hurdles finals. Seán placed 5th in the U12 race in only his 2nd ever hurdles competition 👏 while Odhran ran a super pb🔥 in the U13 final for Navan's fourth 4th place of the weekend.

Well done to all of our juveniles who competed over the weekend and to the parents and coaches who support them.

Our medallists as well as our 4th place finishers have all qualified to Nationals 🇮🇪 which take place over the coming weeks👏👏.
We wish them all the very best of luck☘.

🟣🟢 Super Start to Leinsters 🟢🟣

Navan AC has had a number of juveniles in Leinster action over the past two weekends.

On May 31st Feidhlim, Setanta, Seán, Iarlaith, Odhran & Josh were in action in Tullamore.
Feidhlim & Setanta displayed some great teamwork & determination in the long jump and 600m in the u11 pairs competition. The experience will definitely stand to them.
Seán had a super day. In the u12 high jump, he narrowly missed out on bronze by virtue of countback. Soon afterwards, he lined up in the 60m final where he stormed to a new pb of 8.63 to be crowned Leinster Champion🥇🎉. He can now look forward to Nationals on June 21st.
Iarlaith had a strong run in the heats of the u13
600m. It didn't go his way on the day as he missed out on a spot in the final by just 1 second.
Odhran, finished 2nd in his 600m heat to make the final where he placed 5th in a new pb. A few hours later he was back in action in the high jump claiming a fine bronze🥉 to qualify for Nationals on June 27th👏.
Josh qualified for the u13 80m final having secured top spot in his heat and semi final.
He lowered his pb in the final to claim a super silver🥈 and a spot at Nationals also on June 27th👏. He then anchored the Meath 4x100m team to gold🥇 in the inter county relay💪.

June 6th saw 2 relay teams in action in Carlow. The quartet of Iarlaith, Odhran, Seán & Josh ran a super heat in the u13 boy's event to comfortably make the final. Running from lane 3, they ran another great race to finish the day as Leinster Champions🥇. A trip to Nationals awaits on July 12th 🎉.
Doireann, Sarah, Hayleigh and Samantha ran an impressive heat to qualify for the u15 girls final. They ran faster again in the final finishing just one spot off the podium in a highly competitve race. They can be very proud of their performance👏.
Carlow was also the venue on June 7th for the combined events. Feidhlim competed in the u11 quadrathlon. He took on 4 events in one day, finishing with a smile on his face after 600 tough metres in the wind & rain. Well done on a great effort💪.
Older brother Odhran had a pentathlon to contend with in the u13 event. With strong performances across the first 3 events he was positioned well inside the top 3. A strong high jump saw him take the lead with just the 600m to go. A top 4 finish there saw him take the Leinster title🥇 to continue his super season.

Well done to everyone who competed over the the 3 days. Your coaches are so proud of you.
Best of luck to those in action this weekend as the Leinster Championships come to a conclusion.
