Best of luck to our friends at Boyne Badminton Club this Sunday!

They're off to the University of Limerick for the Badminton Ireland Inter League Finals, in both Grade F and Grade H. We were absolutely delighted to host them for some challenge matches at Claremont Stadium last night, and so happy to play a small part in their preparation.

Go on Boyne, we'll all be rooting for you! Best of luck from everyone at Navan Badminton Club.

This is it, our 91st and final club night of the season. 91 nights of serves, smashes, mad rallies, and the odd miraculous save that nobody can fully explain. We've had a brilliant run together, and we'd love to finish it the right way with good company on the courts this Thursday Club Night.

For the last time this season, we have All COURTS available for every member. No pressure, no scoreboard, no one keeping tabs on your backhand. It's a free court Friday... on a Thursday. Come as you are and play as long as your body allows.

So, like a shuttlecock that's been batted about since September, we've finally come back down to earth. We've gone through a lot of shuttles, a lot of "just one more game," and a fair few crazy net cords, which some members will admit were pure luck. What a season it's been, lads and lasses. Let's give the season a proper send-off. See you one last time for this season.

They say the second-last slice of bread is the unsung hero of the loaf. Nobody fights over it, but everyone's quietly glad it's there. That's tonight's Wednesday Club Night. The penultimate club night. The hero we don't talk about enough.

No fixtures. No pressure. Every court is wide open with all the time in the world to use them. Like the second-to-last chapter of a great book, you're not quite ready for it to end, so you slow down and enjoy every page.

We're one night away from the final smash of the season. Make this one count. See you at Claremont later.

Spring is doing something very Irish today for Thursday Club Night, leaving without saying goodbye. Typical... One minute it's here with the blossoms and the grand stretch in the evenings, and just like that, gone. The Celtic calendar says so, and sure, who are we to argue with the Celts?

However, Spring has given us one last gift before she goes, as ALL COURTS are free for our members. No matches, no pressure, no excuses. Like the season itself, the courts are wide open and waiting. Get in before Summer charges in and takes all the glory!

Spring had a good run (If you ignore all the rain that is...). Now it's your turn. We'll see you in Claremont tonight!

We want to take a moment to say a massive thank you to one of our own, Elaine Maher.

For over 10 years, Elaine has given so much of her time and energy to our juvenile players here at Navan Badminton Club. She has been a constant presence on the court, encouraging, guiding, and cheering on our young players week after week, year after year.

Because of Elaine, so many kids in our club have learned to love this sport. Her patience, her dedication, and her big heart have made a real difference to so many families in the community.

Elaine, we honestly cannot thank you enough. You are one of the reasons this club is what it is today, and we are so lucky to have you. From everyone at Navan Badminton Club, thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙌

Beeeeep! Come in, do you read us? Monday Club Night is transmitting a very important message, and you don't need a telegraph to decode it. Get yourself to Claremont Stadium tonight. That's it. That's the message!

Here's the headline straight down the wire, no matches! Every single court at Claremont Stadium is free and ready for our members to enjoy. The whole place is yours, wall to wall, court to court. It's the greatest signal we've sent all season, pure, clean, and absolutely interference free!

The second transmission is for our young guns. Juvenile Club Night is a go! The girls take to the courts at 6:30pm, and the boys follow at 7:30pm. 2 signals, bang on time, not a beep out of place. We couldn't have tapped it out better in Morse Code ourselves!

So come on, we're all tuned in and waiting for you. Don't leave us on read. Signing off!

What a great Sunday of Inter League action for our club!

Our Grade 2 (Anneke, Kyle, Elaine, Alo, Aimee, Gerard and Miriam) made it to the Leinster CAC Inter League Final after a brilliant 4-3 win over Carlow LTC in the semi-final and what a match that was! It went right down to the wire, but our side came through it. In the Final against Portlaoise, it was tight all the way through the first 4 games, but Portlaoise edged the 2 games they needed in the mixed to take the title. So close, but our team gave everything and should be incredibly proud of reaching the final. Well done, all!

Our Grade 7 (Robins, Anne, Lakshmi and Akhil) faced Carlow LTC in their Inter League Final after qualifying for it on Wednesday gone by. And by heck, they pushed them every step of the way! They lost 2-1 in games, but the sets tell the real story, 6-4. Every match was a battle, and they never gave an inch. That kind of heart and fight is exactly what this club is about. Brilliant effort, you four and a Leinster medal to boot. Totally deserved reward!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support. The standard of badminton played by our members at Terenure was something to be really proud of and a great way to end the competitive season for our club!

WOW, what a night!

Friday night's Table Quiz was well... absolutely brilliant, and we are still buzzing from it! Nights like this don't just happen, they happen because of dedicated people, and we had plenty of them. A massive THANK YOU to every single one of the 40 TEAMS that came out and gave it their best. Nearly ran out of chairs at one point, but we got there in the end!

We saw so many familiar faces and new ones, too, and this meant so much to us. You showed up for our club, and we won't forget it.

A special shoutout to the players from other clubs who dropped in, too. A good number of you made the trip to support our club. The badminton family really is something else, and last night proved that! It's appreciated, guys!

And the RAFFLE! 😅 Jaysus, what a job that was to run, pure madness but good madness! A big thank you to everyone who bought tickets and to those who donated prizes, too. Certainly made it an absolute highlight of the evening.

It was a deadly night from start to finish. Great craic, tough questions, and lots of laughs along the way. The energy in the room was electric, and we couldn't be prouder of how it came together.

To our Sponsors and Donors, we honestly couldn't have done it without you. Your generosity means the world to us, and each cent raised goes straight back into the club. We are so, so grateful for the support we get from this community, which never ceased to amaze us.

From all here at Navan Badminton Club, a huge heartfelt thank you. It's fundraisers such as this that remind us what an amazing locality we have around us. We are truly lucky to have everyone behind us. We promise to keep working hard to make the club something we can all be proud of.

We are still accepting any donations you wish to make us, you can do so via Revolut at the following link:

It's been a busy few days for our Mens teams, and we just want to take a minute to shout out 3 groups of lads who all made it to their cup finals this season!

Our Grade 5 Mens 'A' team (James, Raza, Bryan and David) played their Cup Final on Wednesday night against Longwood 'B'. It wasn't their night, but getting to a final is never easy, and we're super proud of them!

Our Grade 6 Mens team (Colin, Ray, Ali and Pauric) faced Longwood 'A' on Thursday night, who had familiar faces from their Grade 5 winning team the night before. Another tough one, but these lads had a great run to get there, and they should know how much everyone at the club appreciates it!

And a few weeks back, our Grade 7 Mens 'B' team (Jason, Sharath, Sumit and Aaron) went toe to toe with Mullagh and only lost out 7-5. That close! A brilliant contest and effort from the lads, from start to finish!

3 Mens Cup Finals. 3 Runner-up medals. It's been some season for these lads, and they've done the club proud!

Scientists in labs everywhere are mixing chemicals and making world-changing discoveries today... and we at Thursday Club Night are doing our own experiments. It's our FINAL home match of the season at Claremont. Can Navan defeat Mountrath? Early results look promising. The results are not yet peer-reviewed, but we fancy our chances!

🟡 GRADE 2 INTER LEAGUE: Navan v Mountrath -> Now, we've run the numbers, checked the samples, and consulted the experts. Every single calculation points to the same conclusion. Navan at home is a dangerous formula! Come down and support the team as we put the theory into practice.

The competitive edge may be wrapping up for the season very soon, but the lab itself never closes! We've got 2 COURTS free for members from 9:30pm, so grab your racket and keep the experiments going!

Let's give our last competitive home match of the season the big send-off it deserves. See you tonight, the lab coat is optional by the way!
