Good performance from Luke securing a unanimous victory over France and goes onto the final against England tommorow.

Luke moves to the Elite A category semi final tommorow after his German opponent conceded the WO, while Cathal was very unlucky losing out a very tight split decesion aganist an older lad who won it out last year. Pity it was a bout he was dominating, juat little lack of experience switching off at crucial times. We still thought he did enough but great learnings in a fantastic contest.

Best of luck to all the U19 team. Below is Carleys rounds 1 -2 -3. Super proud, dont like giving out about decesions but this is the World Championships and we think she did enough to get the win over her highly rated Polish opponent who is an U17 & U19 silver medalist in the European Championships. One judge in particular either incompetant or had his mind made up before it began imo

Carleys contest, she was a little unlucky dominating the first rd but only winning it 3/2 told a tale.

Unluky Carley boxed very well, winning first rd 3/2 which should have been unanimous losing the second 4/1 and last 5/0 just a ittle bit more experience might have been enough to get the win but great learnings especially as one of the youngest in the weight.

Not to be for Team Ireland's Carley O'Herron at the World U19 Championships.

The 54kg double European schools medalist, took on Zuzanna Golebiewska of Poland for a place in the Last 16, a two-time European silver medalist.

The 5-0 decision went to Golebiewska.

Carley can be proud of her Worlds journey, which has included a national title, High Performance training and competing at the European U19 Championships.
