A coffee stop is practically part of cycling, but if you often feel worse when you get back on the bike, Daire Feeley reckons you might simply be stopping for too long.

Sitting around for 30–60 minutes can leave you feeling flat when it’s time to get moving again, and that dreaded bonk can hit just as you head back up the road.

Daire’s advice? Make the coffee stop quick.

Daire Feeley has a pretty definite answer: Di2 electronic shifting.

Still convinced mechanical gears are better? According to Daire, that argument usually comes from riders who haven’t actually tried electronic shifting yet. 😏
