🚴 TIP OF THE WEEK – WINTER CYCLING JERSEYS

You've spent all summer flying around in your lightweight cycling jersey, but as the temperatures drop, it's time to rethink your cycling wardrobe!

Winter cycling jerseys are designed to provide extra warmth and protection against the elements, without leaving you overheating halfway through your ride.

🌡️ Think thermal. Long-sleeved winter jerseys often feature brushed or fleece-lined fabrics that help retain body heat while allowing moisture to escape.

💨 Keep the wind out. Some winter jerseys incorporate wind-resistant panels to protect you from cold winds, particularly across the chest and shoulders.

🌧️ Watch the weather. Water-resistant fabrics can help protect against light rain and road spray, but you'll still want a waterproof jacket for heavier downpours.

🚴 Layer up! Pair your winter jersey with a good thermal base layer and you'll be ready for those colder mornings. The trick is staying warm without overheating once you get moving.

We've a great range of winter cycling clothing from leading brands to help you keep riding comfortably through the colder months.

🚴 TIP OF THE WEEK – CHOOSING THE RIGHT CYCLING GLOVES! 🧤

As the weather gets colder, choosing the right gloves can make a huge difference to your comfort on the bike!

🌡️ Watch the weight! Heavy winter gloves might keep your hands warm, but they can also leave you overheating when conditions are milder.

💨 Think about the wind! Neoprene gloves are popular, but they don't necessarily offer good wind protection. Lightweight gloves may not keep the wind out either.

🧤 Be prepared! Check the conditions before heading out and choose your gloves accordingly. You might even want to carry a second pair!

The right gloves can make all the difference between an enjoyable ride and a miserable one!
