Best of luck also to the ladies inter county team of Patricia McCarthy (Rochfortbridge), Sinead Lynam (Rochfortbridge), Liz Quinn (Collinstown), Anne Marie Nash (Collinstown) Tracy Monaghan (Collinstown) and Gemma Cuffe (Kilbeggan).

The ladies have real flare between them and with Collinstowns Mick Buckley as their manager they could do very well in Navan for the ladies national inter county.

It's a very strong team again this year with a great Manager, Alan Devany. We're all behind you lads.

ROCHFORTBRIDGE A TEAM QUALIFY FOR THE INTER CLUB FINALS

Well done to the Rochfortbridge team of Gerry Coyne, Martin White, Jack Donoghue, Jordan Donoghue, Evan Cole and Paddy 'monty' Montgomery for a great performance in Trim today. Great shooting all around. The boys are keeping the bridge on the map. Best of luck lads in Lucan for the final.

JACK DONOGHUE WINS THE KEVIN MALONE MEMORIAL CUP

During the week we held the Kevin Malone memorial which was introduced to the club last year. Kevin was heavily involved in the bridge over the years. We will always remember Kevin as a gentleman and great club man. During Kevin's time with the club he was competition secretary for a few years and one format he would use was the grumble. This was 6 holes of scramble, 6 holes of fourball and 6 holes of Scotch. He would always keep things interesting for us all. We thank Kevin's son Michael and the Malone family for their kind sponsorship of this wonderful competition.

It was great to see a turnout of 35 out competing. The bridge has been on the up and up for the last few years and we're delighted to see such a huge crowd for one of our majors. Thanks sincerely to both full members and visitors for taking part. The format was stableford and there was some fantastic scores in.

Thanks again to the maintenance team who had the course in savage nick.

To Trish who looked after us all in the kitchen thank you very much.

Thanks once again to Gerry Coyne and Derek McKevitt who ran the board.

Well done to the Westmeath Juniors and management who took down the Leinster inter county championship once again with fine play.

This team includes Rochfortbridge members Jordan Donoghue and Andrew Coyne who represented the lake county with class.

Best of luck to the Westmeath County teams who will be taking part in the leinster inter county championship which is being held in Glenville and R.G.S.C over the weekend.
