Ulster/NI Cross Country 2026 (Even Ages)

The club was represented by a small but talented squad who travelled to Belfast today to compete at the Ulster / NI championships.

First up for Phoenix was Beth Connolly in the u10 race. Beth got out to a strong start and settled in the middle of the pack before finishing strongly to secured a 12th place podium finish and an Ulster Medal.

Next up was Max Sheehan in the u12 race. Max went out hard and held on to finish well up the field in a very competitive race.

The highlight of the day was Georgia Wright - still a junior athlete, she raced in the combined Junior and Senior 6k. Georgia took an early lead, and kept the pressure on her competition eventually opening up a significant lead which she held to the end to secure her first Ulster Senior Cross County title in emphatic fashion.
