MTR weekend round up!!

What a weekend that was!!

MTRs came out in force last Friday morning to support Jordan and Cian Adams, the FTD Brothers, as they took on their Day 6 marathon, in Monaghan town. These brothers are running a marathon in all 32 counties in Ireland, to raise awareness of, and funds for research into Frontal Temporal Dementia.
Well done to all MTRs who ran some, or all of Friday's marathon with them, and to the MTRs who ran with them in Armagh on Saturday, Belfast on Sunday and in Dundalk today. As a club, we are both honoured, and proud to support Jordan, Cian and their entire family.

Sunday brought MTRs to the Belfast City Marathon, the Dublin Half Marathon and also to the road league 3k in Carrickmacross.

Club members taking part in the Belfast City Marathon were Mehmet Orbay, Gerard MacGabhann, Suzette McEntee, Charlotte Connolly and AnnaMarie McCleary. Well done to all, especially to Gerard, who was completing his very first marathon!!!

MTRs Devon Aughey and Jennifer Meehan represented the club in the Dublin City Half marathon.

In Carrickmacross, both Fergal Mc Entee and Breda McFadden achieved podium success in the 3k race, which forms part of the County Monaghan Athletics Board road league.

Finally, well done to Geraldine McCarville, Joan Farrelly and Gerry Farrelly who took part in a 5k at Emy Lough today, in aid of Errigal Truagh Special Needs.

Fantastic representation at a wide variety of running events over the past few days. Congratulations to all on your performances!!

Keep er fit!!!
