⚽️U12s Seal win in Summer Rain ☔️
Our u12 girls had to rely on their keeper Naoise for a string of fine saves in the first 20 minutes as Walshestown put on a very strong display in the heavy Monaghan rain. But as the rain subsided the Academy girls got on track with Amyrose and Niamh scoring excellent goals. Grassroots football can be mad at the best of times and this game was very much the case as the Academy girls resilience set up a platform for some great team goals. A much improved performance by all and the girls look forward to facing Rock Celtic in the Louth School Girls League top division this weekend.

💙⚽ U14 MATCH REPORT ⚽💙

A fantastic team performance from our girls yesterday evening as they came away with a huge win and all 3️⃣ points against the league leaders in Drogheda! 👏🔥

Special credit goes to the entire squad for their commitment and dedication. Making the long trip on a damp Tuesday evening is never easy, and several players gave up other commitments to represent the club tonight. That attitude and team spirit make us incredibly proud. 💙💪

⚽ Emily continued her impressive goalscoring form with two outstanding finishes to help secure the victory. 👏🔥

🧤 A big thank you to Melissa for stepping in as goalkeeper and doing a brilliant job when called upon.

⭐ Ella also deserves special recognition for a composed and mature performance in central midfield, providing a strong foundation for our attacking play throughout the game.

🏅 Player of the Match goes to Mia, whose determination, bravery and work rate in a tense final 10 minutes helped see the game out. She put her body on the line time and time again against the table toppers and was fully deserving of the award. 👏🥳

We are sure the Louth School Girls League Academy system is looking at these talented girls who give their all in every game and many playing a year up! The girls development is amazing 📈

Well done to all the players and coaches involved. A brilliant result, a fantastic team effort, and three well-earned points on the road! 💙⚽

The world renowned LSGL Blitz is back for 2026

We are delighted to once again offer a 10 week block, in partnership with Dundalk Sports Centre and Louth Local Sports Partnership for our LSGL teams to come along and get involved in some friendly and fun matchplay each and every Saturday (Weather permitting)

NEW FOR THIS YEAR - We are opening up the Blitz to any girls that fall within the age bracket, even if they don't have a club just yet. So if your daughter, granddaughter or niece is keen to get involved, simply come along on the morning and the coaches can provide her with football for the 2 hours and hopefully this will spark her involvement in the game

We love to see this. Well done to Hannah and to St. Patrick's High School Keady for recognising our u12 player Hannah as she captained the Louth School Girls League to a national title. 👏👏👏

Congratulations to Hannah (826) who, at the weekend, won a soccer U12 league medal representing Louth. Mrs O Neill and her classmates are so proud. Well done 👏🏼

Bellurgan girls beat the Academy U12’s taking full advantage of the Monaghan teams poor start to both half’s. The girls rallied with two great goals from AmyRose and had a ball cleared off the line but the Bellurgan win will excite the league with all teams now loosing a game.
Well done to the home team and Hannah on her POTM.

Goal is to improve week by week and to enjoy the challenge

Not every child develops at the same speed.
Some shine early.
Some take longer.
Some suddenly click when nobody expects it.

That’s why comparison can be so damaging.

Development isn’t linear.
Confidence matters.
Enjoyment matters.
Support matters.

The goal should never be who’s best at 9, 11 or 13.

The goal is helping young players stay in love with the game long enough to reach their potential.

Football is a marathon, not a sprint.
