If your club / organisation is not already registered on the new registration platform for Community Sports Facility Fund (formerly Sports Capital Fund), then now is the time to register (even if you don't intend to make an application at this point)

And for any organisations who 'think' they are registered, just double check so that you are sure

The application process is now open for CSFF 2026 so you are advised to read all the documentation carefully for eligibility criteria and changes since the last round of funding

Minister Patrick O’Donovan, and Minister of State Charlie McConalogue, today announced the key timetable dates for the 2026 new round of the Community Sport Facilities Fund (CSFF).

A new grant management system, SPRAOI, went live on Monday 28 September. Clubs and organisations not previously registered with the Department can now register on SPRAOI. Approximately 8,000 clubs and organisations that were registered on the previous grant system have been transferred to the new SPRAOI system.

The window for funding applications will run from Monday 19 October 2026 to Friday 26 February 2027. An Information Guide, setting out key terms and conditions, is now available online at gov.ie/SportsCapital

A huge well done to the students of St. Louis Secondary School, Carrickmacross on completing the first ever Summit Sisters Programme in Monaghan 💜🥾

Over the three weeks, the girls enjoyed exploring local trails, taking on new challenges, getting creative through jewellery making and tote bag design, and most importantly having fun along the way.

A sincere thank you to Mountaineering Ireland, Margaret for leading the walking sessions, and to Hannah from Rua Designs for facilitating the creative workshops.

Monaghan Sports Partnership was delighted to fund the creative element of the programme, helping to make the programme available to the school free of charge.

We are incredibly proud of how the girls embraced the programme and we look forward to working with Mountaineering Ireland to bring Summit Sisters to even more schools within the county in the future.

A public engagement event is taking place on Wednesday 4th November (5pm-8pm - drop in anytime) at the Market House, Monaghan

Well done to the pupils of Bunscoil Lughaidh Naofa, Carrickmacross, who recently took part in the Table Tennis Ireland Roadshow 🏓

It was fantastic to see the pupils getting fully involved throughout the session as they learned new table tennis skills.

We hope everyone enjoys taking part in the 6-week programme in school over the coming weeks, and we look forward to welcoming all the pupils to the Participation Blitz in the New Year 🏓😊

Over the past two days, Monaghan Sports Partnership was delighted to support the delivery of the Table Tennis Primary Schools Roadshow in conjunction with Table Tennis Ireland.
It was fantastic to see pupils and teachers from the following schools getting involved:

🏓 Scoil Rois, Carrickmacross
🏓 Bunscoil Lughaidh Naofa, Carrickmacross
🏓 Annalitten National School
🏓 St Michael's NS, Annyalla
🏓 Scoil Éanna, Ballybay

The roadshow gave pupils a fun and active introduction to table tennis, while teachers also received practical training and resources to help bring the game back to their schools.

Each school has now received Table Tennis Packs, including nets, bats, balls and a resource pack to support the delivery of a six-week table tennis programme with their pupils.

The fun doesn't stop here! 🎉
Schools will now continue the programme over the coming weeks before coming together in the new year for a Table Tennis Blitz Day, where pupils will have the chance to showcase their skills, enjoy some friendly competition and celebrate all they have learned.

A big thank you to Jing, Table Tennis Ireland tutor, and to all the schools, teachers and pupils for their enthusiasm, energy and participation over the two days. We can't wait to see everyone again at the blitz! 👏🏓😊
